Yeah Azeroth is going through her teenage rebellious phase. We’ll get back in 10.0 and she’ll have four or five tattoos.
They’ll probably just make Sylvanas the new LK. Or i guess LQ in this case.
I really wish it would happen because were running around the Shadowlands trying to save important leaders,and others, and since us mercenaries are stronger then the average soldier, the rampaging Scourge should be doing some damage in our absence.
Considering last news of Scourge was in Lakeshire…I wish Aramar Thorne would make an appearance…doubt that’ll happen though xD.
I really had not thought about it (lore is all over the place anyway) but you bring up a good point. With the helm in pieces I wonder what will keep them in check now.

I mean, at the end of Legion we sucked up all the bad joojoo out of it with our Artifacts. I think it was a very poorly written ending, because surely the sword itself is still an issue, but it DID get a conclusion, at least.
I hope someday a redeemed Sargeras shows up and yeets it out with a “MY BAD”.
That would be equally awesome and hilarious.
What do you think 9.2 would be that wouldn’t resolve the story? There have been raids that take place across multiple locations. We can fight Zovaal and defend Azeroth in one fight.
Give me like 40 or so World Shrinkers and I’ll have my Worgen Warrior remove it carefully. DISCLAIMER I may or may not call dibs on the sword.

With removing it’s power with our artifact weapons and healing Azeroth through the HoA necklace . Removing the sword would actually harm Azeroth more then leaving it in .
It now more of a belly piercing then anything else.
So while Bolvar had the helm, where were the Scourge? Just sitting down in the ICC basement like the androids in Westworld? Lights out?
Which we were told if there was no Lich King, the Scourge would kill all life on Azeroth.

To be fair, 9.0.5 had basically nothing. Resetting the timer for 9.1 seems a little unfair. We didn’t get any truly new content for 8 months.
We beat them back in the pre shadowlands event. Remember? Lore wise we did that then entered the shadowlands and now we are there and the rest of the world has kind of stopped.
I understand the confusion, and part of it is Blizzard doesn’t have the balls to do a classic BC scourge style invasion. It was so lackluster, they should have just left some of it up (level appropriate of course) for the shadowlands so new people leveling would feel like they were in the story.
