Personal Loot for LFR

Can all be bought off of the ah.

LFR has apparently always been a great source of disenchantment Crystals… I imagine, especially during the early days of an expansion too…

Sadly not so much anymore. Epic loot will quite often disenchant into blue mats, not purple crystals. That’s the reason that purple crystals are still fairly pricey even months after the expansion dropped.

I get where you are coming from but in your mind do you put someone needing gear on the same level as transmog esp. given that you can get the tmog whenever including an expansion later?

I get what you mean though because it makes sense from your point of view but I think if you were in your own guild and an item dropped that you needed and someone won it for a transmog you might not enjoy the whole outcome.

I don’t understand why the logic of when you upgrade a mythic item from your vault into tier and boost it to the respective item level versus raid difficulty you earn the recolor. Not sure why LFR isn’t included in that. Luckily I think the LFR recolor is ugly on this toon at least, so I don’t care. If it was bright green though oooh we’d have problems

…what?

How is being given a piece of allocated loot vs having to roll for a piece of loot “essentially the same” ?

You’re still rolling on items with PL.

But you don’t get a choice as to what you can roll for, and you don’t get to see people rolling against you.

I actually consider transmog more valuable than an “up” because a transmog I will use far longer than a single piece of item that will be used now and replaced in a week or two.

Now, when doing a raid, if someone outlevels it and the ONLY thing they’re there for is the transmog, I find that to be equal to someone who needs it as an UP, because otherwise there’s no point in that person being there.

It’s silly that people can contribute to a LFR but get no loot from it. And, the overgeared players make LFR a breeze for all those involved, so LFR loses out on a boon which they could have if the transmog role was equal to the Need role.

Right, that’s worse than GL

True, but irrelevant

At the end of the day, the systems are near identical.

In PL you’re rolling against all the other players for the chance to be eligible for loot. Every player is automatically rolling need. With GL, the you’re rolling only against other eligible players for specific items, and it includes the greed/pass options.
