I know this is probably a bygone question as it’s been years. But as Demonology Warlocks, why can’t we summon permanent Infernal and Doomguard pets? I mean, we’re demonologists, by lore, shouldn’t we be able to command and troll a powerful siege demon? I mean I get anything beyond that would be overkill. But would it break the game if we got those two pets back? If people are worried about them being in PvP, then fine, for PvP, give them the three minute cooldown. But in PvE, who cares? I never understood why they took them away in the first place. Just posing a question.

Destro should be as is. Temporary summon lacking control that brings about destruction of the target as well as the demon soon after.
Demo should be able to summon and permanently control these greater demons. We had permanent Infernal and Doom Guard before. No reason they needed to be stripped away.

I may be in the minority but I think it would be nice if demo could summon any of the capstone or older big spell type demons as perma pets. They are supposed to be masters of summoning. They could have doomguard, felguard, infernal, the big eye guy from affliction, etc.
It always seemed silly that they are masters of summoning but are forced to only use the felguard.

Yep. One of the things I miss most about Legion.
we used to be able to have them as permanent pets. Still a huge pain point for me. I want a pet i can rely on. It should be brought back as a talent for all warlocks. Blueberries suck. They die at the drop of a hat . . .

it’s insane to me that they haven’t modified the small green infernal battlepet they added for time rifts, made it look a bit more serious and then added that as a glyph option for the voidwalker.
it’s such an easy win but as ever nothing is easy with blizzard devs

With the Infernal rather intrinsically tied to Destro, you’re not going to get them as pets.
The Doomguard would be cool, however, they’re currently tied to Doom and, I expect, that’s where they’ll be in the future.
They use to be pets back in legion and wod, when doomguard and infernal were our class cds doomguard for single target and infernal for aoe, this went for all warlocks no matter the spec.
I think having our cd demons as pets would work well as long as our command demon spell worked for their cds, tyrants could also be effected by a the fel guards talents too with a few changes to the talents, but that would be the biggest issues
