I truly appreciate your take on this topic, but I’m not understanding how a Twink can hurt or slow down your gameplay.
I’ve been in many PUG’s for TW, and while I think it’s weird the way it’s scaled and that lower level toons are out DPSing me, I don’t see twinks as the main issue.
I can’t even remember a time when we didn’t have twinks. They’re just a part of the game.
I’m truly not trying to be rude, but the simpler solution to your specific complaint is to just run these types of content with people you know.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a twink whisking me through a dungeon. Since I usually only do TW for badges and leveling, I want to get through these things as fast as possible and move on.
Can’t really fix it with scaling. Twinks work because of the delta between a fresh toon and a bis toon. Same as level 80. It has always been the same. If you scale bis twinks back then what do you tell the new player on their low level that can’t kill anything?
Actually the most powerful twink in the game is level 1 because of the delta between having one stat or whatever and stacking as much as possible is the largest multiplier. You just can’t do anything with them other than open world content
Also it doesnt take a whole group of myth geared toons to destroy a timewalking dungeon. You just don’t see them there because its pointless.

While I have seen some “hate” towards twinks, it’s a very small group of players who are complaining.
I’m not sure if you are new to the game or you’ve never encountered a twink before while gaming, but they’re never going to be removed from the game. They’re built into the game as alternate gameplay. Some like twinks, some don’t. Because they are a dev designed aspect… nothing will change.
I wish you luck and I hope you can find a realistic solution for your woes. I recommend, again, only playing with people you know…or muscle through.
It doesn’t affect a leveling player. It affects a level 80 player. A level 80 player’s time is wasted when bosses are skipped or they are locked out from the boss rooms.

At level 80, to get credit for the weekly timewalking quest, you must damage the final boss of the dungeon.

At level 80, to get credit toward your vault, you must kill the required number of bosses in each dungeon. Dungeons have either 3 or 4 mandatory bosses you must kill, and sometimes there are bonus bosses that play no part in weekly quests or the vault.
Issues:
A. Room lockouts. The tank Twink abuses their scaling advantage and runs straight to the boss. The result: Grouped players are locked out of the boss fight (they can’t keep up, especially when all the skipped mobs are aggroing on them). Room lock-out prevents you from damaging the bosses. See 1 & 2 above.
B. Skipping bosses. Twinks and leveling players are mostly only concerned with the final boss. Completing the dungeon rewards the most experience (Remember tank twinks have their experience turned off) for the OTHER player(s) they are leveling. Then they can instantly queue (because tank/mistweaver heal). Rinse repeat. See 1 and 2 above.
C. Playing the game and getting to play your character. This might seem like a stretch for some reading, but players (myself included) enjoy playing the character even if the content is timewalking or heroic dungeon level. (sometimes called chore content or free content). I’m choosing to engage in this content specifically because there is a weekly quest for it that offers a reward and currencies for gear upgrades (valor stones), rep, and or transmog from previous expansions.
I don’t have a problem with twinks. I have a problem with twinks who abuse their scaling advantage.
Fix the scaling, and this is a non-issue.

I’ve never been locked out of boss room, as a level 80, because of a twink. Never.
I have run so many PUG’s for TW and heroics… never once have I ever encountered what you just wrote.
Once I had this happen, I kept dying (not on this toon, but a lower level alt) and was locked out of the last boss because no one rezed me. So, I didn’t get credit for the TW dungeon. But that had nothing to do with a twink.
I just don’t see what you are describing. Of course, gameplay is subjective and we all witness different things in this game. But what you described…that’s a new one for me.

If you had a menu option to not queue with xp off people it would fix all of your issues.

I’ve had people kill the final boss while I wasn’t in the room and received credit for the weekly quest.
This does need changed to work the same way as the weekly quest.
But neither of these things are because of twinks.

I’m seriously not understanding his take on this.
Scaling might look weird, but that’s it. People can still do content with Twinks in their groups and enjoy it.
Truly, I’m not understanding why this is such a big deal.

That’s the most annoying part of this entire “situation”. Twinks are insanely rare to begin with.
“Zomg this lvl 11 deleted the entire dungeon in 5 minutes! Ban them! Rework the queue system! Rabble rabble rabble!”
Reality is getting a twink period is slightly higher than invincible drop rate lol. You’ll probably never see one. And when you do, it’ll be for 5 minutes then poof.

Two reasons i think
First, there is a small percent of wow players that tw is their endgame and they want it to play like end game, be challenging and such
Second, some people just cannot deal with the fact that a level 10-11 can out dps them. They don’t understand gear and think it is some form of cheating
Lastly, you guys are right, it is a non-issue. I am going to delete this thread here in a bit. My apologies, I just let the ten or whatever haters that constantly post their crazy ideas get to me.

Unfortunately, it’s the nature of the forums.
I completely understand the weirdness of scaling, but it’s not going to change. The queues would be even more obnoxious. Which is why we have scaling in the first place.
Your opinions are fine. Like I said, the gameplay for everyone is subjective. I used to feel this way, but after being carried through five dungeons by a twink, I kinda gave up. It was pointless to argue because I achieved my five dungeons and moved on.

That is because it is actually tied to being within 100 yards of the final boss. Same distance required to receive loot. Most of the bad apple twinks came about by the 20th anniversary. As always, those who seek to power level and mass farm content ruin it for everyone else.
No, that’s been fixed since Remix. You could be at the front of Deadmines and still get loot.
And also still not a problem created by twinks.
Maybe if you played the game as much as you’re on the forms you would know that statement is incorrect.
