People Who Tag Mobs Then Leave

I like when people tag the mobs then drag a train into my aoe for me to kill.

I do love my little bubble that lets me send them right back.

One guy had the nerve to complain.

Blizzard changed tagging.

Old tagging was made, intentionally, to disallow this very situation.
Of hitting something to be loot eligible but not participate in the killing.

The rules surrounding tagging gradually relaxed over the years. At first tags were group based. When not in a group tags were essentially just for you.
Then tags became faction based for things like World Bosses that had multiple groups competing for a single spawn.
Latter, this faction tagging was made to apply to rares as well.
And then, to all other mobs.
And then the faction portion was dropped.
And now we just have open tagging.

On my prot people do this all the time, I rather let the mog reset than kill it for someone else!

2 can play that game i run away and let it reset. I got time to do it later.

Or i start chasing them and tag their mobs.

Lots of options.

I am trying to gather them and kill them all together…why you mad bro??

Slowwww dowwwwn.

(Seriously, “I’m in a hurry” is no excuse for handing another player a buttload of extra HP to kill so YOU get rewarded. Seems shameful that a so-called “MVP” is part of the gogogogogogo cheer squad as well :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t mind if people tag something I’m killing anyways since the help is appreciated.

What I hate is someone bringing additional mobs over for my pet to tank while they skip-de-do away to something else and I end up spending additional time burning the extra mobs down.

Misdirect and popping feign death is really tempting when that happens.

Then I am going to shadowmeld on my main or go invisible on this toon.

If someone just tags one mob its no biggie but when they keep doing it that’s just lazy and I will use my aggro release on them

If I see someone hit and run my mob, I ghost wolf, sprint, and run out of leash range. The mob then comes back after the tagger.

I’ll do that on lower level WQ elites. I do it so other people, especially toons that aren’t over leveled for the area can come and tag it for credit.

For me nothing is more annoying than running up to quest objective just to see it one shot by someone.

To answer your question they are leaching with the elites.

Tagging it gives them loot rights and kill credit. All the while you do the lifting.

As for other mobs, I will constantly tag them for quest credit. Then run off and pull more back to the area, making it as efficient as possible for the others there as well.

No accountability anymore. Back in the day when you were only on YOUR server your actions had more consequences. Hell, there were server blacklists in server forum.

Now you can’t even mention a player’s name if they pull some crap in game and you come to post on the forums. Even if it was someone cheating and caught

Yes, that 15 seconds you MAY have saved is really, “going fast”. What an idiotic statement.

Learn to watch and stop AOEing duh.

With me, people see me using cleave-type attacks to handle 3 or 4 mobs, so they drag their train into my area of effect while I’m swinging away. Suddenly I have 8 or more angry NPCs wailing on me. I can usually handle it, but it takes forever for a Guardian spec to kill that many targets.

I tend forget I can Shadowmeld out of combat. When I’m in tanking mode, I’m reluctant to let something go after someone else. Fitting I’m a druid, because I guess I’m a sap.

Edit: Kahna beat me to it.

That and people who watch as you fight a elite and then tag it 1x at the last few seconds. Saw so much of it during Legion and it has gotten worse this expansion.

If I’m tagging it, I’m dotting it up. So that damage will keep going. And then one of two things happens: I either unleash Starfall on everything to help, or I’ll be healing people around me while we all tag and group stuff up. I took Resto Affinity for a reason!

If I’m going to hit it, I’m going to help in some way. :slightly_smiling_face:

Efficiency! I can tag your mobs knowing they’ll be killed and then go kill my own to speed things up.

I tag it but I normall stay close and throw heals all over the place. Sorry. :frowning:

i am shocked i dont see people complaining about tagging then pulling more for you to tag also so we both get everything done faster…its what i do… tag your mobs, then bring more for you to also tag so we both get kill credit
