I deeply miss my pre-Legion disc priest spec, and hate that it was taken away from me.
I’m glad to hear though that at least you are enjoying the new version of it.
I hope that never gets taken away from you.

Nothing?
But, honestly, as an altoholic, I can’t claim to only play one spec just because this character has always been (and will always be) MM.
I have 24 max level characters with gear for every single spec. Most are above 440 ilvl.
I wish I could focus on one character and one spec… but I can’t.
I don’t play Protection any longer due to the community being pretentious thinking that they’re the end all be all of everything.
I don’t play Fury because it just doesn’t feel like a Warrior to me. I didn’t enjoy Arms when they had it generate rage through abilities either.
Honestly… I’d much prefer pre-legion disc priest returned still… but the overall playstyle really hasn’t changed… it’s just more tedious now with managing attunement upkeep instead of it being purely passive…
You and me both.
Nothing is the matter with them. Let people play what they want.
For the record, I do play both Frost and Arcane, but I’m not a fan of Fire. Never been able to get into that spec. And all the peer pressure and guilt tripping in the world won’t make me play it.
Logs would disagree with you, quite heartily. The lowest DPS spec warriors have is still in the top 3rd of all specs. Arms is the #2 performer overall. Warriors are also among the tiny handful of melee to have meaningful representation at the final stages of Ny’alotha, where everything is at its hardest.
Mythic plus? The “meta” M+ specs aren’t meta because of their damage output. If that was the chief consideration, DPS warriors would be dominating the MDI. They take DH’s and rogues because they can cheese mechanics at the level where anything that hits you one-shots you.
I play marks and survival, because they are the most fun for PvP and PvE, not respectively. BM is overwhelming to me!
Shadow isn’t fun imo and I absolutely hate the way Discipline plays now
For me, it’s actually because of RP. When I create a character, I usually have some sort of theme or personality in mind, which becomes further cemented the longer I play it, and if I don’t just delete the character a couple hours or days in. My Warlock, for instance, does not want to delve too far into Demonic magic and forces, for fear of going too far down that particular rabbit hole, so he sticks to Destro because that doesn’t have a Demonic focus (it’s arguably more dangerous, but that’s a different story). My Frost Mage, on the other hand, has always looked up to Jaina, so she leans more towards Frost since Jaina does. DK has been a bit more ambiguous, and I’ve actually put at least one full expansion’s worth into each spec, so the DK being Frost is more of me enjoying that spec the most. But for the most part, it’s for RP
It was so good blizz head to delete it so people would play other classes and specs.
Many classes I play most of the specs…
I don’t heal so no reason to play a healer spec.
I don’t tank so for some classes, no reason to play a tank. That said, there are some classes I do play a tank as they are just fun to play, such as Pally and DK.
Otherwise I stick with Dmg spec’s. I play Enh and Ele shaman. All 3 DK specs, all 3 Mage spec’s, though I don’t really play Mages all that much. Ret and Prot Pally, Druid… Well, I used to Love Feral, but haven’t enjoyed it much for the last few years. I don’t heal, no need to play that. Used to play Bear but it’s so boring now, and I don’t tank… It takes forever to kill stuff so I mostly play Balance.
Those are what I usually play.
Not fond of Priest. I used to do Shadow, but I don’t care for it lately, and again, I don’t heal…
I do have a Fury Warrior that I play some. Don’t care for Arms, it’s boring and I’m not fond of the tank spec/prot. Again, it doesn’t do much damage, at least not quickly and it’s not as much fun to play.
I don’t care for Monk much. Liked it in the beginning, but it sort of got meh for me. And only WW, again, I don’t heal or tank.
Hunter… I dabble with my Hunters. I play both MM and BM, don’t like survival at all. I don’t care for melee hunter. For me, hunters are ranged. And again, I get bored fairly quickly. Log on, play for about 20 minutes, log off and get on my Shaman or Pally usually. lol
I play Rogue some as well, off and on. I used to Love Combat, but I don’t like Outlaw it doesn’t feel like a Rogue, don’t care for Survival at all. Assassination is ok, but not my preferred. It was Combat…
Warlock… Again I dabble with my Locks, but I find them a bit boring. Never did like Demo, Destro has always been my favorite, but it’s boring. Affliction I guess is ok, but again, I’m bored. I log on to play my Destro or Aff and in about 10 minutes I log off. The “fun” just isn’t there.
I do!
I enjoy all of my Paladin mains specs. I love to Heal and Tank, both Holy and Prot are solid. I’m not a huge fan of Rets wack-a-mole combat style but it’s there and some people seem to enjoy it.
I would never play a class where I don’t enjoy all 3 specs!
Thing is, the gearing process makes it difficult to keep separate specs geared. It almost as difficult as having separate classes in some cases.
Blizz should make it easier to gear and switch between the specs of a class.
Affliction Buffs Infinite Stars by 20%.
Who’s laughing now?
I don;t want to go back to Drazalor to change my gear. Too many stairs.
its what’s the matter with gear right now. getting 1 set of stuff takes long enough for the ridiculous amount of rng and variables going on. couple that with lack of good equipment set management and screw that. i have a couple off-spec pieces just because of happenstance. i wouldn’t go out of my way to try and get an entirely new set.
Having multiple sets of gear is not something I’m going to tolerate. Even worse when you have to find gear with specific traits.
If you’d like to pay my respec costs to swap my azerite traits all the time then you can judge me. Until then there’s nothing wrong with me.
I don’t like tanking or healing so there’s that. And I tend to theme my characters around only one spec. I rarely ever change them even for all DPS classes. I’m such a terrible person I know! So much wrong
Some rando internet joe: “No! You cant just pve as arms! It sucks, you should reroll prot or fury!”
Me, an intellectual: “Haha, colossus smash go boom.”
