People who always play in offline mode

that sounds awfully selfish.

I mean…I wouldn’t do that, but at least you don’t do it out of spite like OP did. lol

Probably so that they won’t be disturbed (lets face it, some people can be annoying etc). But you’re right, in that case, why even have a person as a “friend” at all?

No, it doesn’t. I’m curious how Elon plans to give developing countries internet with Starlink but I don’t actually care if they get it.

exactly.

Honestly, you sound like the middle schooler, not the other person, especially if you deleted him and ended a friendship over something as stupid as being in offline mode. Sounds like he had good reason to hide from you. You just did him a favor.

Also coming here to post about your life story sounds like something a middle schooler would do, not an adult.

Appearing offline occasionally is normal. It just automates all of the potential “I don’t feel like talking right now” conversations by just not listing you. People sometimes want to wind down on their own and not have to think about anything. AO is good for that.

Appearing offline indefinitely is not normal and the only reasons I can think of to do that would be better handled in other ways.

if you don’t care, then why would you remove them?

sounds like you care an awful lot.

…especially with the need to create a thread about it.

Why? Because of people like you. Sometimes people want to be left alone and don’t feel like responding, but feel obligated to because they know people like you will lose their crap and rant on the forums if they are not replied to constantly.

They should add people like you, that way you guys can chill in offline mode with each other.

They can’t. I don’t use Battle.tag because of the View Friends function. People like you were creeping my family and harassing them with your pointless whispers on why I wasn’t responding. When I can block that I’ll consider it. Till then not a chance.

You really have an issue with what other people do with their free time, don’t you?

Wrong, people like me just delete you and forget about you. The real creepers are the offline mode guys.

I don’t know why someone would worry about what friends/others on battletag are doing, I mean yeah sometimes I talk with people on there but mainly on Discord and sometimes I game with them but mainly I just am happy to have them on my list because they are my friends so just seems weird to me to get so bothered by what type of setting someone uses and I say that as someone that is personally always away even when I’m actually not and that also has a friend that’s stayed in offline mode for years and years now to the point it literally says they have been offline for 7 years and they haven’t been, lol.

Counter-question.

Why do you feel entitled to an explanation for why he or anyone wants to be left alone?

Have you perhaps considered that maybe people like yourself are the reason he wants to hide?

How can you delete me? You can’t. Better accept that and calm down little Gnome.

then why keep people like me on btag? Because a long list looks cool and makes you feel good?

reading comprehension is hard.

lol

for what it’s worth, I wouldn’t take it personally if a btag contact places themselves offline. that’s their prerogative.

you can disable this.

It’s worth a lot because you’re a good person btw! And I value opinions of good people. :+1:

Meh. I don’t bother with offline mode. I just boot any btags that have been offline for more than a few months.
