People that complain about mythic+

Employment industry in a nutshell.

Asking for more years of experience in a programming language than some have been in existence. Lol.

I would assume his supporters would gladly carry him if not.

Mythic0 doesn’t prepare you for mythic+ climbing (nor has it ever been designed to). Mythic+ does that on its own.

It’s actually structured in a more than fair way - where they don’t pile affixes on you until you progress. The problem is - people are quitters and automatically blame the game, their class, or someone else for being unable to defeat the affixes week in and week out.

Some players do come to the forums/players to ask for tips on how to improve or overcome, but it’s rare. I see more people play the blame game.

Those types of players are generally unpopular choices for a dungeon group - especially when majority of these folks do have the ability to learn and progress just fine.

Anyway I think the structure to learn and get better exists in m+, complaining bad players just want to reap the rewards without the effort. Hence the amount of carries we are seeing. And that incentivizes good players to capitalize on them and make a ton of gold. It’s a big problem (the bad players that is) because then they are stuck with these keys they are unqualified for - and run a poop-show that forces the aforementioned average gamer to just ditch them and not waste their time.

That’s part of the reason I don’t believe In punishing key leavers. They 99% of the time are likely leaving for a legit reason - and it’s most likely one of those people you and I both see every lfr or random heroic.

It’s an attitude thing imo. Nubs these days are just too edgy and entitled :frowning:

When I make a group, I always put a message similar to “Don’t bother joining if you’re going to leave if stuff goes south.”

You’d be surprised how much it works; the people that join are quality and stick around until it’s completed.

Sometimes when I’m bored I just join those groups and leave as key starts

Wow. You’re a winner.

Awesome I love winning

I do want to add that the way the game is designed right now forces people who really have no interest in M+ to do them in order to improve their gear. I’m one of those people. I really don’t enjoy them, but I do them weekly to get the gear for raiding and other stuff I do enjoy.

Now some would say, you would be just fine with the gear you get in the raid, however, when you take RNG into consideration, the fact that Sire drops the only pair of shoulders in the entire raid, and well, some of the raid gear just has terrible stats, M+ is a must.

I don’t like that either tbh and maybe that’s why players are getting frustrated.

If I was forced to do arena 2s for example in order to have a chance to gear up - I’d be pretty unhappy tbh.

No idea what they can do - but I am a big supporter of using systems line valor to help gear up casual players (like the many that like to explore, and role play etc).

They added lots of nice gear Into the game thst can’t be found anywhere except for like mission tables, and side quests in the world. The loot is very very good (and sometimes more unique than a raid item) - but theyre very low ilvl and no way to upgrade them. This inhibits some of these players from being able to paricipate In end game activities unless they do something they may not like/have interest in or may not be experienced in doing.

I think there needs to be way more end game options - cuz I agree thst funneling their playerbase into an activity they may not enjoy is very bad for pretty much everyone (which I hope I explained how above)

Easy, I want M0 LFD. If I decide to run a key later fine, I can make a grp for that. But I don’t want the hassle of listing a grp, finding players, riding to the entrance and entering. It’s inconvenient, so I don’t do it. If I could just click M0 LFD and boom we’re in like Normal and Heroics I’d do them all the time.

As far as M+, I don’t like the timers. They promote a sense of anxiety and stress. Why would I want that in a video game I’m playing to relax and have fun?

Hi troodrood! Does changing posting toons make you feel like more people share your opinion that hardcore players are evil?

Honestly i think it just seems worse than it is, i dont typically struggle to get into groups on my M+ toon (207 WW monk) some decline you for what seems like no reason, but you
just gotta assume you were not the best looking guy in their queue and move on. I think it seems overblown here by people who get declined from 1 group or have a bad run of luck and come and complain, then we all go “oh yea that happened to me too” and it make it looks a big issue when really if you just kept applying for groups you would get one in few mins, its just people expect to join that 1 group for that 1 key that is exactly what they need and they get declined so it a problem with the system now.

It comes down to finding a decent mature guild that doesn’t mind doing mythic + runs even if time runs out. We at least enjoyed it. Too many players wanna be like the 1% not realizing those players don’t mind wiping because they’re getting paid and they work together.

I guess social side of things does get affected when it’s gogogo.

I honestly don’t see why they don’t remove timers? It would promote better behaviours. U hit ur actual wall not the wall set by momentary lapses in concentration

^^^ This 100%. I would love to be able to play my alt more but they are gear capped unless I take them into mythic dungeons. Since I already have to do mythics on my main, I don’t want to be forced to do them on my alts. But if I wanted to bring them to a raid instead of my main, I’d have to because they are capped at 197.

According to Icy Veins, the recommended ilvl for Torghast TC lvl 8 is 226, so if players just want to do something like that, they would be forced to do M+ to get geared above 197. (With a group, we did it at a much lower gear lvl than 226, but RNG can play a big roll and if you’re alone, it might be really difficult).

I have no problem at all not being able to get to 226 without doing M+, or even 213 without doing the raid, however, I should be able to gear up a character to 207 so that I might get an invite to the raid without stepping into M+.

People that complain like to complain for whatever reason and there is infinite possibilities.

I agree 100%. I think that’s a fair ilvl. I personally would have it start around there but be upgradable via a token or valor system to 210 or beyond.

Many of those types of players you described enjoy spending their game time doing things like exploring crafting and casual solo activities like torghast. Just because their content is different doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be able to progress imo. But should they choose to delve into other activisties like end game or competetive things, they shouldn’t be left behind or be forced to gear up just to get their feet wet. They should have an opportunity to dive right in.

Plus some of those items would give them a different flavor than what players are used to (because some of those world items are unique trinkets or sets that can be reworked), which means they’d be important to groups in said new content they are trying.

I’m probably not going to be popular for feeling that way but, I know what it’s like to play casual or have to progress alone. It’s not easy, especially on limited time or smaller servers.

I’ve noticed a lot of players do one or two keys at a certain level and then assume they can do higher keys for any dungeon. Most people don’t want to run all 10 dungeons to build their IO score, one +Key level at a time. This is why they don’t get invites. I usually auto deny people who haven’t ran all dungeons close to the level im posting in LFG.

I don’t like them, they have brought only a few positives but plenty of negatives into the game, but if we want particular gear that’s better than raiding gear (stats mainly) we are forced to do them, it has nothing to do with any of the op’s reason, IMO they suck for many many reason and not least of all is the community.
not to mention slowly killing raiding.

Maybe just me but people have generally been chill with me in runs and getting invites. Grateful for the community.
