That isn’t it at all. The players just don’t want WPvP at every opportunity, and that is what a small group of players. There is a fine line between WPvP and Griefing and far to often people step over that line, and well, you get what we have now when people do that.
I didn’t ruin whitemane when I started making horde in tbcc.
It was well into 90% when I did that lol. I just made it 95.01%. the 95 was there lol. I Put in my .01 contribution.
People like stronger servers. Not jsut for pvp.
When I chose whiteman for horde I saw 10K+ players in tbcc. more group chances. In the non crz, non RDF, non LFR wow at that time…10K looked better than say 1000 on atiesh horde.
I also saw a nice AH, well stocked not too bad priced. And AH is usually crap on small populations.
Option B was atiesh horde. Fun fact…those numbers were not really much better before the the cata drop off happened. Wanted horde, on west coast…whitemane said hi, choose me. west coast didn’t have a “mankrik”. So they improvised with whitemane.
LOL this dude thinks the ppl running the game are the problem…
Bro TBC is the murderer of factions. They completely die when that portal opens.
its not the devs fault players want to be able to run 10000000 dungeons>
TBC didnt have RDF = Scuffed game.
Answer is warmode. Or move to grobb lol
Inb4 it doesn’t work.
Actually it does. Warmode jsut shows how many actually want wpvp more than 1 to 2 nights a week lol.
See in retail you’d be advised to turn this on, go run out wpvp kill quests first day or 2 after reset. people hammer this out real fast to git her dun. Its part of the rush to do any weeklies in whatever latest expansion land is.
A 2 for 1 special.
Warmode off rest of the week since raid night already has logistics matters to work out. Not many want to add gank squads on the raid entrance for another issue.
this…actually got some alliance to show up more on servers like Illidan. Where were they before? Not in a rush to die on horde heavy server from OG wow days.
You just described a pve server.
More or less, yes. Which is what the players in general wanted.
2019 to Cata’s issues are not new. Somewhere on faerlina are more than a few players from Illidan who said lets do this again shall we lol.
Blizzard can’t fix that. I jsut found warmode one of the better solutions. If only to not clog up servers.
PVE’s had this solution too. It was called turn on pvp. Warmode gives incentives is all. So it gets that night or 2 of better wpvp chances. Better than nothing.
Just tried to do TB and it was 18 horde vs 80 alliance. We lost in under 3 minutes….
From what I’ve seen most Horde don’t want to PvP.
offtopic but your name is so good lol
yep, people don’t want to hear it cause it’s a retail feature but it’s 100% the best case scenario, especially with MoP bringing cross realm zones (or if they ever merge into a mega server). everyone who wants to PvP turns on warmode and is put into their own phase with only other people that turn on warmode so they have their precious “PvP server” while people that don’t care are able to just not turn it on.
the only downside is that since you are still on the same realm you can group with people who have WM turned off while you have it on (or vice versa) but can’t see them so if you were running a dungeon or raid they wouldn’t be able to help summon, or if its a world boss you wouldnt be able to fight with them
This is why on SoD/Anni servers they tried out the faction balance system. When faction balance is left unchecked, one faction ganks the bejesus out of the other until they eventually all leave, resulting in these 100% alliance or horde servers. Without regulation, this will happen quite often on Pvp servers. Servers like grobbulus are an anomoly/a treasure.
Grobbulus is nearly 50-50.
Think grobb would be added to the xrealm zone list or would it be isolated as the only rppvp? Lol
Retail has tried to limit in the past mixing in RP’s with the non-rp’s. I guess we see if they keep to that . It really be based on how it could function as a “standalone”.
MG and WRA (my retail homes) in retail could limit its mixing since both are very lively and full servers. MG doesn’t need cross realm stuff to get 200 people at the inn. The 200 ERP people are already there from MG already lol.
You’d see mixing on latest patch content. For a good reason. 2-3 months in and the rep/renown chases done they get much more empty. elite needs 20 people to kill…well you mix it up to get 20 people to do that lol.
The important detail here is that although Grobbulus is marked RPPVP, those first two letters are largely defunct, everyone moved on. It’s just the “50/50 balance PvP server with a cool history” place now.
Would be very funny if it were isolated but i think it’d be with all of the other PvP realms.
I recently transferred a geared ally toon to Faerlina and having been having fun on him. Target rich environment. I just circle a mining node in TH and pick off horde as they come to mine it. Imbalanced servers have their upsides.
that depend on how they implement party/group syncing.
Fun stories from retail. certain servers that used to be pvp servers would say no one shows up to pvp in warmode. And rabble rabble about that.
its now the weekend. Ruin gaming liked gaming syncing mechanics and gave Illidan what they wanted. Party sync’d cross realms now on 1 realm players warmode on. wpvp happened.
And there was the illidan char crying about that on the forums.
Illidan at 90% will tell an alliance player they ganked at 5 on 1…to git gud.
Ruin gaming would go…you know 25 on 5 is also 5 on 1 simplified. So, Git gud…
That is because this is around the time where the PvE crowd started to go Horde for racial. While the Alliance racial are generally considered better for PvP.
Honestly, go the warmode route with that. Have an RP phase.
I’m going Horde, not for the racials though Alliance is basically dead on my server. But yeah that does make sense, parse brains will go Horde.
