Actually renown is staying it is the new rep but it won’t be tied to factions and you can level any of them at any time in DF once you start with the factions.
I think 18 years of failed expacs (minus maybe 2) will not go unnoticed. Be my guest. If they wouldn’t change after losing 12million players, what makes you think they will change for 1.5million? Hm.
6 months away and no alpha is pretty sus to me.
12 million and to 1 million I doubt you have access to any official numbers. Nice try.
Its justified honestly. Especially if you been around the game since vanilla and therefore that means you’ve been through every expansion and all the promises of quality before.
But I will give you this…I’m guessing DF was likely in development for longer than they let on to the general public. Also while the little “On or before Dec 2022” line on the pre-order was unexpected by myself. I also know that is not a contract. Blizzard does NOT have to ship the game this year just because they said “on or before Dec 2022”.
It would be a PR mess for them but from a LEGAL stand point they aren’t locked into that date.
We’ll see…at the end of the day that’s all we can do anyway right?
BUT Beta needs to happen by August I’d say if there is any real target for Dec 2022 being release.
You act as if we don’t have access to old numbers, and the current logs of players achievements in game, or raids, or other wise. Pretty easy estimate for the final number, the former 12million is quite accurate and stated in earlier advertisements from 15+ years ago.
I’d personally rather them actually be able to receive feedback and not make mistakes. The current talent system is looking very much like a poor joke, and not having anything else to go on is concerning.
You think third party numbers are accurate you make me laugh when these numbers are not 100% of the game.
There is more basis in third party numbers, than the PR team’s statements over the last 18 years of mess ups.
“On or before December 31 2022” is not a set definitive date.
It isn’t a definite date, but it’s definitely stating it wont be pushed back until next year even if it’s not ready
Believe what you will but to trust sources outside of the game you’re delusional. But sure you do you.
Literally what they did with Covenants.
To get hit by the bat for 18 years and still have this attitude is concerning.
I actually was kind of blown away by the talents tbh. I think they look amazing, they’re bringing back some really engaging builds for multiple specs that I really enjoyed. It’s not a ton to go off of though, since it’s only 2 classes. But if they keep the intent the same throughout all specs, there could be some awesome stuff.
Out of the specs they’ve teased, unholy DK with festermight and multi-target deathcoils, popping multiple festering wounds, is pretty exciting to me. I’m not a DK main, but I remember festermight from BFA and I had a blast with it.
For your information Dragonflight doesn’t have any of the following:
Covenant
Expansion level borrowed power / systems
- artifact weapon
- azerite neck
- conduit and soulbinds
Ever hear Talk is cheap
Doesn’t matter, Haavi reiterated the same practices they’ve used consistently every xpac, they don’t tell you the b.s. you have to do to participate. They only show you the carrot and hope you bite. Its like fishing, you’re biting.
Here’s the deal: we won’t know until after the entire expansion is implemented what we’re getting.
During the beta for Diablo Immortal, the lead designer was asked if the game would be Pay to Win. He answered “No, you cannot buy gear or gear upgrades in the cash shop.”
Was that true? Well, it’s true that you can’t buy gear in the cash shop. But it’s also true that power progression is based on gems that you level up, that must be acquired using currency purchased in the cash shop. A streamer paid $25k and got one maxed out gem. You need many to make your gear bis. Estimates are $100k-$500k or who knows how much money it will turn out to be with the RNG of the loot box design.
To play end game you need to upgrade your gear with improved gems and systems many times, which cannot be done as a free to player. Free players will never have access to the best gear.
The same developer is still claiming the game is not pay to win, despite the fact that it could take half a million dollars to make your gear bis. He keeps saying what he is saying is being misrepresented.
They designed that game around a power progression system that did not involve gear so that they could claim that “It’s not pay to win because you can’t buy gear in the cash shop.” That’s their story and they’re sticking to it.
Do you believe Blizzard is being honest in this case?
Legally they have to announce what’s coming in an expansion and Dragonflight doesn’t have any systems like before (legion, BFA, and Shadowlands). To think that they won’t announce such big things is illegal because when you market a new expansion or any game it has to be forefront with its systems.
