What does this really do though? I could still queue as resto Druid and spam wrath.
75% of the time, the other people in LFR are either too apathetic, too lazy, too non-English speaking, or too…bot to get the necessary votes. Usually it takes a wipe or two in order to wake enough people up.
This is probably accurate I think. The shaman I saw was about 70-80k of that and the DH tank shouldn’t be discounted, he was keeping himself up fairly easily. Then you had the rest of us hanging out anywhere from 20-50k, for boss fights anyways.
My monk is barely hitting 395 so she does about the 40k you mentioned. I’m also not very good on her I feel. I haven’t gotten the hang of the new clouded focus build at all. Lol.
But I’ve seen the healers who just flounder around even with the high ilvl and that’s quite obnoxious.
Rather have them Dps then pretending to heal. something to be said for a healer getting out healed by the whole raid 1/2 of which were dead while actually trying to heal.
What irks me, you call them out and people reply with “who cares?” so I have learned in these groups, I just purposely heal really badly so we wipe and then they start to care.
Sometimes I will use 1 spell the entire LFR, like only rejuv or only my healing circle and I still beat “healers”
Much better to queue as tank in dps spec.
Oh lfr you sweet summer child between this and dps who are in tank spec tanks in dps specs its all just one big beautiful dumpster fire mess.
i had 2 minute Burning Crusade Dungeon Queues as a DPS and 2 Minute Classic Dungeon DPS queues mostly because they are easy gear from levels 10-60 in the form of the Satchels.
I have definitely switched from Balance to Guardian before a BG started. But then other times I remember not being allowed to change roles before a BG started. There must be some kind of rule.
yeah people have been doing that since MoP and blizzard does nothing about it - you can try and vote kick them but far too many times that player has friends who also got a fast queue by him queuing as healer so it doesn’t always work.
because they very often queue with friends (who also get the fast queue) who shout down vote kicks.
see this all the time in LFR and as already stated, ppl in LFR are apathic to the point getting someone booted takes way too much effort.
what ever role you queued for you should get hard switched into the spec unless the raid lead changes your role.
This is just objectively not a true statement as you get to later bosses. It might feel like a faceroll if you end up in LFR with people who are clearing those bosses on higher difficulties. Yes, even the more complicated boss mechanics feel trivial when you’ve run them so many times while also dealing with more mechanics that it’s second nature. But when you have a large portion of the raid consisting of people who don’t know the mechanics, groups can struggle even with determination stacks.
I don’t think it’s a biggie even as a LFR healer myself, more damage to get the boss down quicker.
If the boss is not being downed to lack of healing then I say something but it’s typically not healing that is the issue.
had an Rshaman healer show up in a run last week who wasnt healing at all. Just DPSing and Rshaman usually can do pretty well at it.
tank died. The ‘healer’ starts barely throwing in a heal here and there, but most of my heals was my own abilities and a couple healing potions.
Yeah, if you sign up to heal, thats your job. Do it. Thanks.
LFR needs healers? Just more DPS to have pushover bosses killed.
I like switching to tank rather than waiting 25 mins for a new one to queue
Call them out and vote to kick.
Rack up determination stacks.
LFR really only needs 1-2 healers to begin with.
Absolutely. If you queue as a role you should be locked into that role.
Some fights in LFR are a literal joke even with low geared healers. There have been times where theres been nothing to heal, so i just spam dps while other healers spam overheals. I can see why some would swap - for certain fights. Theres a few bosses than usually do need a lot of healing, but overgeared healers could probably handle it fine being short one or two.
That said, I do think it should lock you into a spec for LFR. I actually didnt know it wasnt already.
