People making characters and not logging them in

This and they sell them for real money, it happens each time. Guess why names with a special meaning are always gone and yet nobody plays the char.

I picked a few names for characters that I am going to be playing, but I have not been able to log a single one of them into the game. “World server is down” /facepalm

I logged in, grabbed my names and logged out. I plan to play every one, but I’m going to wait a few days to actually have a chance of tagging any quest mobs. Probably a lot of folks with similar plans. Though I have already seen at least one person on the Classic WoW Reddit trying to sell names for cash. That’s a waste.

Any time one of the names I go for is taken I take it as an opportunity to come up with something different rather than get bent out of shape over not getting the name I wanted in a video game. /shrug

If Blizzard had committed to TBC Era, I’d be playing right now.

But they didn’t, so I just have names until they do.

So my alts cant have the name i want cause you were too slow?

that name means nothing to me :expressionless:

You’re probably hyperventilating over it.

I feel bad for Nixxiom I was watching his livestream and we both hit our char creation the second the servers were live and his name was instantly taken right infront of him and a viewer showed proof he took it and wont give it to him lol

Some measures sometimes in public view should be taken. IRL you cant just claim the identity of other people even if its your stage name for example. But in games? Some games it’s fair game and others you can get in trouble for it and often banned.

Like taking a competitive players name in R6 or CSGO and League early before esports were a thing or if the comp player made a new account.

I warned you that I had your name on a tears flask.
