People get baited way too easily by new expansions

Congrats, you predicted how every expac goes.

Truly you are the second coming of Nostradamus.

Shadowlands was a glorified DLC patch disgusted as an expansion. Covenant levels were its CoD battle pass with no monetary skip boost.

I started in the beta last week, mostly to see if I would like it again, or if it would fall off like classic (took a break at the end of vanilla, and almost didn’t come back, until I tried BC). I am really looking forward to leveling another horde pally tomorrow. The combat is just so much better from vanilla to BC. I’m thinking once Wrath comes out, that will probably be my game for a few years, lol (again).

Agree with you 100 % , i didn’t buy SL because what players testing it said and they were right .

Deep down we WANT to like the game.
Blizzards job these days is to smash our hopes and dreams.

lol…its like our level 10 POSTING character is the ONLY character we have.

You’re not forced to buy it you can still play pre TBC classic and launch when they go live

I hate boosts and deluxe edition but i’m gonna ignore it because this is the only officially licensed re-release of tbc that will ever happen

I play a non so fun game of what is going to be broken and never fix and what feature they promise and new deliver (or deliver but with features missing)

ahh yes.

the good old “i have no idea, but here’s my 5c anyway”… based solely on forum tears.

meanwhile, there are thousands upon thousands of people having a blast… people who have no reason to come to the forum and complain about how the game isn’t tailored to suit their individual needs.

just because someone posts something here, doesn’t mean it’s true.

Yeah I have no clue if I’m going to play TBC. This might be due to the fact I can’t sit at my computer for more than an hour at a time any more. It’s…boring. Maybe I’ll give it a shot, but if I do, I’ll just by the boost, get bored of Outland leveling & zones at around level 63 or 64 & say “screw it” then stop. I wish I liked Shadowlands. Rather play a version of retail I find good than a rerelease.

Me too. Shadowlands is just…boring. I haven’t logged on retail version for months. I miss making alts and trying the old expansions with Chromie then when you finally get to SL, I just couldn’t continue. /:

YEah… At least enough to enjoy it a month or two.

I don’t know about anyone else, but the days where I would play nothing-but-wow ended after Legion. Something about the game design in the last 2 xpacs just can’t hook me to stay long term.

I’m just tired of buying new games unless they are RPGs. Zelda, Skyrim, ESO, Fallout, Warcraft are all that I play now.

Lots of games have flaws. Blizz just has fewer. And rarely game breaking unlike the hackers that ruin launch day of every CoD title.

I’d rather acquire things in game like housing, cosmetics, gear, achievements of events than benchmark my GPU and worry about my kill death ratio.

To be fair, COD has some good titles but not every year. MW2019 was pretty good and i still play it some

When I was 20, I loved fast paced shooters. I don’t want timed content anymore. I haven’t bought one since black ops 2.

I look forward to new expansions, but often I don’t enjoy them fully when they are current because everything is a race, gogogo. I love running old content in WoW, but it can be a lonely experience.

I want an epic mega dungeon not meant to be ran quickly. If I designed dungeons I’d put in stuff to discourage and completely stop speed running.

My issue lies in people arbitrary deciding what constitutes playing and what isn’t playing. If you’ve played up to level 13 and got a low achievement score, you’ve been playing. I dislike the idea of dismissing players like that and people who do that rubs me the wrong way.

However, if the point that either of you are saying is they didn’t play enough in order to have an informed opinion or have a productive conversation on, then fair enough.

But i think for this discussion, it’s more pertaining of the quality of the expansions and how people will still keep playing might not know better, so i’m not really sure why would OP need to play the game to discuss this in particular. Plus OP does have a main and such, going by the achievements in their profile, so it’s not out of the realm of imagination that they might have experience with shadowlands.

These are completely optional and not necessary to play the game. Some people will buy them because they enjoy the game and these things.
