Hah, for the shadowghast market, they undercut me even more and then complain that the price collapsed.
You were the Wal-Mart of glyphs! I love it!
Back in the day I used to have tons of time to kill so I would spend it farming herbs. I would then sell them low on the AH because it was quick gold and I had no other use for them. Eventually the same people started buying from me on the AH and contacted me directly. The reached out to me and we struck deals. They would buy from me directly slightly higher than my posts (a guaranteed price they could always count on) and I did not have to deal the AH taking their percentage of the sale. Great for both parties. It gave me quite a distribution network for easy gold.
I posted a 99% undercut earlier today… because someone had listed a random Legion green at 10k. That’s the kind of AH behavior I have trouble understanding. Do they really expect anyone to buy that? Or if not, what is the point of listing it at all?
This is wrong. If the price is high enough, some of them actually won’t be able to buy it, and some others will think “I’ll check again tomorrow/next week to see if it’s more reasonable then”. The number of people willing to buy depends on what the price is, that’s called a “demand curve” and one of the most fundamental concepts in economics.
Generally, it’s done with low-cost items. It’s a strategy that takes a lot of trial and error but when it pays off you end up with… well you can imagine.
Edit: Ah i misread. if theres nothing on the AH yes list high as hell, Someone will buy it. remember theres millions of players.
It’s best to read an entire reply in context, instead of nitpicking a phrase, so people don’t have to bog themselves down with disclaimers.
