Honestly I hope they do add it to the legacy content, and expand on it as well. Its a good feature that people love. But there’s no reason to remove traditional flight for DR to exist

It seems that nobody yet in this thread has pointed out that the current system is a death blow to farming nodes bots. How many of you have seen nodes being farmed by bots yet?
There you go. Maybe you understand now why dradonriding right now at the start of the expansion is a good thing overall. Once the economy settles then Blizzard can allow normal flying mount because farming those nodes will not be worth anything anymore.
Did I mention the deadly nodes that burn you or push you from tall places? How do you think bots deal with those?
Dragonridding is a perfect anti bots tool and it seems many people here still not have figured it out. Ask the community if they would prefer to get bots back or only have dragonriding then give us the poll numbers.

You can AFK while dragon riding now anyway, if you have all the glyphs. The zones are designed to slant downward from Valdrakken, if you aim to your waypoint and drop from the tower, you can hit one button then tab out and you’ll be halfway there before you even need to change direction or hit a button again.

That reminded me of something tbh. I wonder, if Dragon gliding messes with folks that are susceptible to seizures also? I used to play with a guy on Gorefiend realm back in TBC, and Wolk days who had to stop doing some things in this game like raiding, because the effects from so many people casting spells at once especially AOE type spells triggered a seizure. I know most games once upon a time used to put warnings on the games about it. Don’t know if they still do or not. I guess it has to do a lot with the lighting in games idk. Not sure if motion sickness could cause a seizure, but I guess it’s something folks should think about, or maybe look into, because that would be bad.
I hope they add dragonriding to the rest of the world, and I hope they add regular flying to the DF zones. There’s a place and use-case for both.
Yes, I do like to AFK in the air when I need to use the bathroom, or scratch my cat’s head when he hops on my desk, or to herb.
Yes, I do like being able to cover huge amounts of ground in 1/3 of the time using dragonriding. And honestly, sometimes it’s fun to just fly around really fast.
We can have both.

I had seen only one person saying the speed-lines on the drake and the flashing of the dragon’s wings going into and out of speed mode was causing them issues. not hard to believe since getting the dragons going full speed causes all sorts of visual stuff to happen all at once.

Why would you need to change old flight. If your mining or herbs use old flight easier to stop and go if you want to get from a to b fast use dragon glide .

Sounds like a Trolls post. I hate this Dragon Riding. I have spent years collecting mounts that can fly, I should be able to fly them in a current xpac.

Its horrible to mine or get herbs now, always crashing and going too fast and passing up where the item is.

Dragon riding was a massive improvement upon flying and it’ll no doubt stick around considering how overwhelmingly positively it has been received.

sorry…maybe you should think that through.
maybe some people actually prefer consistency and stamina
over bursty speed and mandatory inactive recovery times…
hopping around gathering, for instance, would be better served on
a traditional flying mount…
honestly, i would use both systems for different purposes.
and why do i have a rare promotional feldrake that i cannot
realistically use in this xpac?

Why is that a bad thing? Yes, I much prefer the convenience and quality of life of the original flying. Way better not to have to concentrate the entire time you’re traveling.

At this point with how vastly superior Dragon Riding is, if they turned on the normal no-clip flying I honestly don’t see the issue.

No one is asking for a freaking speed increase! We just want to use to 200 or soflying mounts we have and in some cases paid for. I have seen MOP type dragons as a reward in DF that can not even be used !
They need to release regular flying with no strings attached already! Withh DR you can not even see what you explored!

Incorrect. Slower flying to be able to better see small ground spawns, hovering for many reasons, the ability to use flying mounts I already own and prefer over a dragon are just a few quite valid reasons.

Lets give every single mount a unique flight model with its own abilities based on type.

I’ve seen some threads on GD asking for a speed increase on old flight, in addition to it being turned on in DI.
