Just finished the quest where you go through the portal from Dragon Isles to Ardenweald, and for the first few seconds I kept trying to dragonride on my regular mount. It felt so icky not being able to jump and propel myself forward at mach speed.
I don’t like this feeling. If DR ends with DF, that might be too much for me to handle.
Try capturing pets with dragon riding, it’s too fast, you can’t keep a proper look out for spawns and you sometimes kill them when you land too close, there are a lot of activities where normal flying would be better, the only exception is when you’re wanting to get from A to B as fast as possible, that’s really the only place that dragon riding shines.
That’s a good point.
A solution would be something like a poster proposed some posts above, an ability to ‘hover’ (or more precisely, move like traditional mounts) for a few seconds would solve most of those problems.
There is no other reason whatsoever, I mean there are because nothing is really a binary choice but here I have an opinion and I think it is the best and that everybody has the exact same opinion because there is no other reason why people would have binary opinions. I m smart and I am not a troll.
(The OP probably)
As soon as someone says “There is no other reason” you know the person has either no real critical thinking skills or never took a logic course in college.
Its not just the speed making people sick though, the bouncing around movement of the drakes does it too. I had to quit questing with my wife cuz it was effecting her, and the cloud serpents did it to her too so they would have to eliminate that as well.
Whelp, I have to go to bed, I work in 4 hours. Sorry if I offended anyone, that was not my intention. See ya guys around. Again, that’s just my opinion on the matter and you aren’t forced to agree with me!
Honestly I think it is so well received that they are more than likely to port it into all the old and new content. There’s alot of evergreen content to be had setting up races in the various landscapes throughout the world of warcraft that they’d be silly to throw away such an easy opportunity to retain players
Hopefully the Devs see that disabled people are struggling with it at the same time and both forms of flight will be open from the get go in new content so everyone can be happy
Someone doesn t understand what an ad hom is.
Sarcasm is not an ad hom.
Telling someone that their argument is bad because the person is an idiot is an ad hom. Telling someone they are an idiot is not an ad hom, it is simply an insult brought from evidence of not being smart.
Please don t use fallacies when you don t know how to recognize one.
When you say “there is no other reason” it instantly tells me you are not able to see other reasons even the pretty obvious ones and thus I would be wasting my time trying to point how wrong you are. It also tells me that you also still hold the same opinion even though you have now been told there are other reasons…which means you are not able to accept criticism.
Once more this tells me that I am going to waste my time here so I will just back away very slowly in a non threatening way and leave you to your…limited views of the issue.
LOL it is you that will be in for a surprise when Blizzard does add traditional flying to the isles. Dragonriding is fun and all, but it really sucks for farming herb/mine nodes especially in the obnoxious and precise spots where you can blow through vigor and have to wait for recharges when a regular flyer, in this scenario, would be just as sufficient if not superior even.
Edit - And yes you are right. One of the main reasons people want regular flying is indeed so they can afk in the air. What is it to you? If anything, you should be arguing for a more dangerous air space that would naturally deter that.
You can stand by it all you want. We’re getting flying later on. You already lost! We should even be asking Blizzard to GET RID of dragonflying. It’s dumb and gimmicky. But guess what, we aren’t because we know how to live with more than one option. Bad troll is bad. Can’t even rile people up because he already got shot down before he even posted
Because the op stated so, therefore it’s their opinion.
That’s not the reason I want it so its wrong.
It only requires one person to not want it for that reason for his presumption to be inaccurate.
Don’t know why I had to spell that out seems obvious to me.
Not that I have to explain myself look at the rest of the thread unless you were being intentionally dense
