People are tired of the faction stupidity

I find this to be a weak argument. “WARcraft” could refer to being at war against anyone, it doesn’t have to be restricted to the Horde/Alliance cycle of war-truce-war again that’s been dragging on for 20 years of our time and, what, hundreds of years of Azerothian time - a cycle that the leaders claimed they were trying to break in all the BfA story beats.

There are many more interesting options for player choice and story evolution they could pursue if they wanted to, none of which would remove the “war” from “warcraft”. And that’s their decision not to pursue them; I’m disappointed but it’s not going to stop me playing.

That said, we “soldiers out in the field” often help each other out with killing mobs, even if the bar is grey for us, and certainly we team up cross-faction to kill big things like Rares and World Bosses. Would be nice if we could - as an option - formally group to assist with quest completion or do a dungeon or a “you have to run this to see the whole story” LFR wing.
