Pelagos is the shining example

Honestly, he’s not bad…but I just feel like he’s a worse Sheogorath.

If it wasn’t for the forums, me, as a Kyrian, did not know this.

(Goes to show you how much I actually read)

their personalities, you just described them yourself, why ask me?

Need more than two traits for a personality but sure.

Your transmog is dope.

Just saying =)

Pelagos is a fresh take but we all know the current story is awful. Can we stop beating this dead horse?

Thanks, bud.

Your Classic character is a lot like my old horde druid from back then, that’s not tough with so few Tauren options but still fun.

Sarique: Love it!!! absolutely Love what you wrote Congrats well said!!! Woot!!!

It’s a role I love and meet so many good people playing it.

Thank you.

in wod, we had yrel, a toon we quested with during all the xpac, we saw going from a slave to a tyrannical zealot servant of the light and people said her character was lame, boring etc, etc, etc

NOW, they do the opposite with Pelagos, he pretty much just served as a soulbind and now he becomes the arbitrer and people say his character is lame, boring etc etc etc

i will never stop being amazed by humanity

It was lame, because at the point we left her, there was no need to turn her evil.

Pelagons… is forced on the player, i’ve posted else where, Uther is quite a better choice story wise to be the arbiter, he has gone through a justice zealot (miss judged Tyrion), a vengeful mentor (abandoned Arthas), to a redeemer of the dammed (recognized the error of his ways). And is a character most of the community share a deep bond

Pelagos is trash and this expansion is awful. If that developer rumor is true, makes sense why nobody returned for 9.2. Blizzard rely heavily off the copium and token payments for their revenue now from us die hard never leavers. No need to have actual substantial good writing, we’ll take anything. Even a 30 second obtuse death scene with the sky above ice crown closing up with a little shloop in an anticlimactic manner lmfao.

Haters gonna hate.

Exactly what I was thinking too. They loosely based the Kyrians on angelic Christian theology. So if your going to borrow from that you have to address how it all works. How exactly is Pelagos able to judge in a divine fashion where souls are supposed to go? It’s an arbitrary process that isn’t much different then the Zovaal being the Arbiter. Zovaals bias leaned towards giving him power. Pelagos bias leans towards every soul being redeemable. What divine principles decide what is right and wrong? He who is fortunate enough to grab the power and impose his/her will on others is the definition of right and wrong? Kind of odd.

You literally are dictating what Revendreth does. They already are the “redeem or go to the Maw” area in the Shadowlands, thats been their entire point with the Venthyr. This whole bias thing is just a dumb nitpick when essentially he’s reinforcing what Nadja (Revendreth) wants – souls for redemption, when essentially Revendreth is supposed to be that purgatory.

Here’s a thought… I’m Forsaken, all of my Family is dead due to events that still haunt me, in fact most of our friends and family are dead because it’s World of Warcraft and the world has been destroyed 30 times over… We’re in the afterlife, why can’t I see them? Why isn’t this touched on at all? Why wouldn’t this be the first thing that my character asks about? Even if they’ve been turned into soul pudding to power some stupid robot… why am I not figuring this stuff out? Why are my first concerns so incredibly unrealistic?

Yes, the writing is very bad.

Who, what, when, where, why… writing team, LEARN IT!

I am not dictating anything. I am simply stating that the whole process is arbitrary. If you are going to use Christian theology as an “inspiration”, it is simply going to seem bizarre if you pick and choose certain elements and leave others out.

The point was: if Pelagos wants to give people others the ability for redemption – he’s essentially filling the purpose of Revendreth. Revendreth was already serving as a stop gap for the Maw. This whole “HE"S BIASED” idea is dumb.

At the literal worst, all this does is give the Venthyr the responsibility of choosing who goes into the Maw – which isnt any different that what they were doing previously.
