Peeled Secrets is NOT fun

This raid is perfectly tuned.

Complete skill issue.

I cant wait for Enhance’s ChatGPT response to this thread. It would be the clashing of two forum trolls. It might very well be the end of these forums as we know it.

This is a discussion I’m willing to have. I don’t think kick rotations are unfun, but if the tuning is off so that one missed kick is a wipe, then maybe that should be adjusted. The problem here is that sentenza has already died on the hill of the tuning not being a problem, therefore the only problem is the mechanics no matter what.

It’s not. Reducing the damage of this mechanic by 10% or 15% won’t make it fun. That’s tuning.

Maybe you would have above a green parse on that fight if you got to play your class and weren’t just sitting on your hands waiting on your next kick.

I have him muted as well. I have no interest in communicating with or consuming LLM content.

Ye it’s a weird hill to die on that the tuning is fine. I’m fine with kicks to, it should be punishing like with KT. Missed a kick? Icebolts to everyone, raid wide healing immediately, mana gets drained, punishment for not kicking properly. A missed kick causes a wipe on a cast time that’s fairly short? That’s my problem with it, it’s very disheartening making good progress and a single missed kick wipes us from full hp. Council fight is relatively interesting though. Played it on my mage and I use my kick for Doan when he teleports allowing the melee to catch up to him and keep up kicks. Mechanics feel fine if overtuned unfortunately.

If you cut the damage by 50%, you’re hardly talking about tuning at that point, that’s borderline a redesign of the mechanic in terms of criticality. (Which I’m fine with for that mechanic, but let’s not call it tuning)

Mason was a harsh dps check, they reduced the check by something like 30% which made that dps check functionally non-existent.

Maybe you would have a parse AT ALL

The OP of this thread has been consistently telling people to “get good” in any thread complaining about the SE difficulty.

LOL you don’t know anything about me. You’re just a random level 45 DH that does nothing but trolls the forums and talks sh*t

Your character isn’t even high enough level to queue for LFR

A mechanic with fewer points of failure when it’s a wipe mechanic, I guess.
Either make it so the timing is more lenient, or it’s not as punishing when missed, or it doesn’t overlap as much with his shadowsteps. Or he doesn’t cast it as often so you can use a back-up kicker in a smaller raid.

Your attempt at a reply lets me know that you felt the sting of that barb and it upset you.

Criticizing those I raid with is not really a good clapback though.

Just mute and move on. There’s almost zero reason to engage with certain types of people. These forums mostly exist for personal amusement because the devs don’t read them, so if a poster generates negative utility for you, you can just erase them from existence.

I disagree with OP and think his comments are usually just to get a reaction from people like Enhmypants (they are two sides of the same coin)

But there’s this trend of talking sh*t about other player’s logs on the forums and it’s hella cringe. The forums aren’t the place for that.

People wonder why half the active users on this board use alt accounts? It’s because this community is full of socially unadjusted weirdos who can’t have an objective conversation without being needlessly sh*tty

95% of the “Classic Elitists” who take parsing seriously are just people who couldn’t cut it in retail.

I can disagree with OP w/o flaming him over his logs. At least he’s in the raiding attempting to make progress.

Do they?

Personally I just post on my Retail character because it’s the character I post with. Not going to swap forum avatars between SoD and Retail, sounds like extra work for no gain. I’ve never hidden any of my characters because I own anyways (which is why I’m confused that it seems like people are getting a second hand idea that my parses don’t own).

Yes and no. Define “seriously”. I think going for gold in Classic is goofy but you should care about the damage you do. Maybe less people would whine about “tuning” if they did actual damage.

A lot of people do, yeah. I’ve seen a number of people here say they don’t want people to have access to their main character’s name and guild for obvious reasons.

Retail has always been my main game, I think boxing people into “X WoW player” is dumb, most people play more than one version of the game.

There’s a world of difference between caring about your damage and being obnoxious over logs. For the record, I enjoy logging my characters in retail for personal improvement but people in retail don’t act like this.

The high level community won’t invite you without logs but I’ve never seen anyone flame in retail discords over it, the players usually look at your log and offer you some advice if you didn’t cast enough of X or Y spell.

I only have a problem when people put others down over their logs. It shows an ignorance as to what WCL is. There are a variety of reasons for why a parse could be low, sometimes you have a job to do and sometimes you just die. It happens in retail too.

For sure, for sure. Part of the reason I had to take a crack at that Warrior though. Doing jobs that hurt your dps is fine if they make a fight more interesting/fun, but isn’t if they don’t.

Running seeds on Mythic Xymox is a damage down that hurts your parse but it’s actually fun. I enjoyed doing that and figuring out what I was going to do for some of the bad overlaps and get back to that boss quickly to still try to put in damage.

Being the simp and sitting there trying not to lock a gcd because you’re next kick sucks. They made the cast time on the kick longer so you’re less likely to get owned by it but the biggest buff to consistency is to just sit on your hands and that’s patently not fun. Nerfing the enrage making it more rewarding to sit on your hands and not pump to increase kick consistency is the complete opposite direction this fight should have gone.

I have the misfortune of having to see your nonsense in the majority of threads here. 99% of the posts on the SoD forums are from you, Shartenza, and Enhancepants. You terminally online losers need to find something else to occupy your lives with.

You know, instead of being a whiny little girl 24/7, there’s an easy fix. Use the ‘Block’ feature on everyone that bothers you or simply stay off the forums b/c you don’t have anything intelligent to add most of the time.

Not sure why you even use the forums, I’ve never seen you actually leave a non-troll comment.

At least people like Senteza talk about the game. I can disagree with someone but respect their opinion if they aren’t being a troll.

Likewise! You can block anyone that criticized you!

I’m not the on complaining here, am I? I couldn’t care less about what an irrelevant sock-puppet retail alt has to say. Especially not considering who it’s coming from lol.

You were literally just complaining about complaining instead of just blocking. You could still do it and save yourself the grief.
