Paying $15 to sit in a queue for 347 minutes?

Idk what you expected the game isnt ran by blizzard its ran by activision, cutting corners for this moneygrab. Everyone fell for it

Who cares about 15 years ago, its 2019 and they have had more than enough time to prepare the servers

No silly. You are paying $15 for WoW. You are choosing to sit in long queue.

They can spin up all the servers they want, the issue is all our characters we reserved cannot be deleted on the full servers to play on an empty server.

No.

You are paying $15 to wait in that queue for 29 more days.
1 day is fitty cent.

Relax.

You will get on soon. <3

My shoulder is here for any retail kids or anyone else whose life is so important that an evening of mild irritation is just too much to cope with.
Seriously, go sleep it off.

Best I’ve managed to get was switching to a “low pop” server and was greeted with 98 minute wait. Other than that I’ve averaged 700 mins. I left for 3 hours and came back to see I’d only moved to 11,000th in queue.

Play on one of the new servers and get outta here. They did spin up servers at a moments notice; Just because you’re not utilizing them doesn’t make it their fault. I’ll gladly wait in my Grob queues to play.

There are instant login servers right now (this post is 19h later). If you have to sit in a long queue it’s your decision to play on a high pop server, not Blizzard’s.

don’t worry
$15 for a slow boring game it’s the same as waiting in queue so enjoy

oh no poor you, what ever will happen now that you’ve lost $0.50

you pay the World of Warcraft subscription so that you can access the World of Warcraft (retail) servers and unlock Vanilla-Legion content, the sub also happens to give you access to the Classic servers.

the sub does not discriminate between whether you only play retail or only play classic. otherwise there would be a specific sub for each versions of the game (which would force people to pick one or the other if they didn’t want to fork over $30).

I’m so tired of this straw man argument. Why did blizzard let us reserve names then? I looked at all the Classic wow ads and non of them say anything about 6-8 hour queue times(the one on the launcher says “Play now”). What’s the point of reserving something you can’t use? People are being to kind to blizzard.

It’s not like Blizzard has 15 years of doing this to get it right and 7 expansions.

What’s even more funny is I’ve actually played a good 19 ish MMORPGs besides WoW, none of them had a 6 hour queue time, not even Shadowbringers expansion last month had a queue time that came close to 6 hours, they had DDos attacks but that was about it.

Here’s the thing about transferring
We don’t want to risk losing our names or the people we are playing with. When name creation opened up i purposely chose the server that i saw people talking the LEAST about and it was still a rough queue to get in last night after work. Would it really bother me to move to a lower population server? Probably not, but not at the cost of my characters names.

Blizzard goofed. They should have had a few extra servers open for name creation. At worst we know they have the ability to combine low population realms without people losing their names. You don’t hit level 60 in a couple days during vanilla so there would have been plenty of time to merge servers before anything in the end game would have been affected

Id like to welcome you to Activision Blizzard, and NO you wont get a free day or a free weekend, its happened before and we didnt get anything to compensate

They should just wipe all the BFA servers and put them at classic! flip flop the server pools!

Go play on one of those. They have no queue times.

The latter of the two.

If you get in and autorun into a wall all night, will you stay connected?

Roll a toon on a lower population server that was recently added?
