That’s kind of on you. People have been saying for a while that it was going to be this way because it usually is. I had no expectations of playing on launch day and might not even get in tomorrow.
This is truly the Vanilla experience. This is expected old school WOW.
That’s just… Really sad man. This reminds me of the banana fad of the late 1800’s. Bananas became popular because they were “new” and not everyone could afford them which sky-rocketed their value. I’d be willing to argue that Blizzard did this intentionally.
Ok mr bad at making plans.
I am having quite a bit of fun just tabbing back and forth seeing my queue time decrease. Oh the anticipation…
I mean…No point in getting angry. Most of us figured this would happen.
DUDE! If this isn’t the greatest comment of all comments. These queues are part of the classic moments of WoW.
You know you all just think you wanted this but you really didn’t…
Thats very true. Most of us did expect this, but 12 que times on some servers is really really dumb. I mean shoot, i tryed to hit up the server i got to reserve my names on 30 min after release just to see im 23k in line and an 11.5h wait. What was the point of reserving a name? And then you see they release more servers, sweet right? O shoot you seen that 30 min after it was stated and you still have a 10k line only 30 min after there release. This just feels far to sloppy for somthing they knew would be huge. Sorry if most ppl will just “pfft, cry baby” this post but a good chunk of the community is feels the same way.
Also, cheers to everyone who thinks they’re being clever with the “this is the real vanilla experience!” replies, even though it’s already been posted 60 times in this thread.
Mr. Bad at Making Plans is Blizzard, right? Blizzard at this point is no different than airline corporations that over-book their flights and screw over some customers that can’t fit after they payed for the fare.
no, it isnt
What server did you choose?
Clearly you havent been to a movie theater either. Movies that “Start Friday” always release the Thursday night before. The launch dates are always more of a lie now to mean first full day. It wouldnt matter what the date is anyways, the game has officially launched either way. The only thing you might possibly be defending is a typo on their part but it isnt one.
kromkrush the moment it launched
I logged out to get food came back, and I was 14,093 in line for the server. 600+ wait time. I made a big mistake. I thought the excuse for layering was to avoid this.
If you took time off for this it’s on you buddy. Everyone and their grandma knew this was going to happen and yeah it’s not ideal, but that doesn’t mean you should have gotten excited like a puppy.
Queues were not added to Vanilla till much later after the servers started to crash.
You’re right, personal responsibility goes a very long way but that doesn’t end with the individual. Blizzard has responsibility at their end, especially with us as paying customers. Regardless, these wait times are no where close to how it was 14 years ago my dude.
While we’re at it, “bad things just happen because everyone and their grandma knew it’d be bad regardless if we had a decade and a half to learn from it and make things better, so just accept it.”
“Oh, and thanks for your money.”
Oh the irony. You want to play vanilla but cry when you run into a que. Just like it happened in vanilla. After all this hype what did you expect?
