Patterns with Patterns "Weekly" Seriously?

Well, I can tell ya I got a 242 lvl feet/boot piece of gear turning it in. Brought me up from 234 to 235. :boom:

This is crap, logged out last night at 87%, log in today at 38%. Enough Blizz, I just want to finish my weekly quest and be DONE.

I’m not loving the changes. I played with a friend last night and we got to a whopping 20% but I admit we spent a lot of time on the main quest we hadn’t wanted to (got confused a bit as to what was what).

My allocated time to play today got my other toon to 30%. That means I’d have to put in the same amount of time for 4 days to get to 100%, which is likely not going to happen because I can’t play every day much as I’d like to.

With Korthia at least, I could get to 50% in a morning at worst with a toon, higher if the chests and rares lined up to when I was on with a WHOLE lot less running around avoiding the psychotic scenery.

I wanted to like this new addition, there are elements of it I do like, but it just doesn’t work. It’s like they took some good ideas, put them on a cookie cutter template for some other game entirely and hammered it in to fit and called it done. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sadly - I DID do the world boss yesterday - got me to about 89%.
Went to bed, got up this morning and was greeted with a 59% completion on the quest.
I am NOT happy at all.
I started the quest after the reset - my percentage should have stayed and allowed me to finish it up this morning.

I completed PwP yesterday, that’s one day. Wasn’t that difficult.

My reputation is now Revered at 4,812. I started ZM on the 3rd day of its release.

sounds like a lukewarm week of existence

Wait till you at 96% log in next day gone.
Wait till you log off for a few hours and its down to 58%
Wait till leaving the zone and lost 8%.
It’s just another way of time gating this sorry excuss of a patch.

Wait there other quest that you complete and turn in and not get credit. just a warning they found a few new ways to time gate you.

BTW. There are four bugs going on that also drive you insane.

  1. Can not mount to fly anywhere. It lasts up to 4 hours. You are not in combat. You can hearth and join a group. But you can not mount or use an FP.
  2. Some chests give you a negative percentage for opening.
  3. Random target by super elites. Two shots kills my pall tank.
  4. Love this one. Can get blown off edge of world random. Takes 10 minute walk back.

So I’m curious. If you were like at 96% for example and then dropped down to 44% due to the correction, wouldn’t you have still been at 44% anyway if they had it in place when the reset launched?

Is it just the fact that it was corrected after the fact that is upsetting or seeing your progress down? I just did a couple of chests, rares and WQ yesterday and went from 0% to 68% and its only one day after the reset. As WQ reset I’ll be able to get it up higher and get it done well before the week is up.

Just trying to understand what is upsetting since if it was calculating correctly at the start it still would have been 44% and not 96%.

Whoever was able to turn it in under the old % either got a really nice bonus by not having to go to ZM the rest of the week or got a really bad deal because it only gave the old amount of rewards.

I don’t need all week unless blizz makes it take all week to fill.

like i said I rather do more fun things more to my taste all week.

and they wonder why people are leaving their game in troves. they just dont get it. and its simple. they need to stop this crap. if its faster people can move on to other things or alts. that easy. but not they want you to suffer and slowly grind on your main because god forbid we finish and /quit.

The change happened yesterday, did you do it before it hit?

It was the weirdest thing. I’ve never seen a hotfix like that applied in the middle of the day that just affected everyone all at once. Chat was filled with “WTH just happened”.

I guess I should say I’ve never seen a hotfix like that applied that had such a visible outcome affecting so many people all at once.

It was handled really badly, especially as more and more chime in to say they were impacted.

Also, why couldn’t we have the same turn in values as we did for Korthia? 3% for chests, 5% for rares, and either 7 or 8% for quests (can’t remember what it was). That system seemed to work well, but now everything has been drastically reduced. It makes no sense.

Then do that? Every time I’ve gotten the quest when it was twice per week I finished it in a day by doing dailies and WQs and killing a couple rares. If it takes twice as long per week, then I’ll be doing the exact same thing I was before and still completing it.

Not seeing the issue. You’re doing the same amount of stuff to complete it for the same amount of rewards as if you’d done the previous version when it was available.

it just feels like endless chores to be honest.

just let us play the game

I started about 10:30am Pacific Time. What time did it “hit”?

I don’t know if it hit in the afternoon or what. Yesteday, I ended the day at about 50%, and finished it up this morning with 2 dailies, 3 WQs, a couple of treasures, and several rares – like, 5 rares.

there’s really no way for them to win eh? it went from:

“playing for an hour every 3 days is to much!! make it a weekly!!!”

to

“Playing for 2 hours hours every week is to much!! make it faster”
wow players make me sad

I just killed everything in sight. Otherwise, I did all quests, 2 rares and a few chests. Best I can remember. Anyway, until it told me to turn it in. I don’t stop until I’m done in one day. I’ve got the time, so why not.

took me 2 days to complete, the change is a non issue. Just do the WQ, kill a couple rares and grab a treasure or 2 for a couple days and you’re fine. Why is this a problem for people? what did they expect would happen going from a bi weekly to a weekly?
also the rewards haven’t changed , its the same stuff we got last week
