Pathfinder Part 2 can still work, but it needs to change

100% this. The idea of gating flying behind Pathfinder achievements is fine but it really should be available from launch. Go ahead and make it harder. The people who want it will get it, those that don’t will take their time. Just having it straight up disabled for months is a joke though.

Really? any posts about flying is pretty much bickering at this point.

What, praytell, do you expect? There are a lot of frustrated people at this point. I’m about as tired of seeing these threads as you are, however, I understand that people are sick of waiting for ANY kind of info at this point.

You have the choice not to read/respond to them if you’re that tired of seeing them.

Many of us finished PF a while back. It’s been 7 months since the release of the expac with no info on IF there’s a part 2 to this stuff or not. There’s absolutely no reason that PF (part 1) shouldn’t automatically give flying in the areas we currently did the requirements in.

Again, I personally think that the very day you complete the requirements, flying should be available right then and there.

They dont want you to have it at all.

It’s not that expensive, you get the four k gold it costs while leveling, heck you can even farm old raids for the gold. For me it was a motivator to level. I could level an alt and fly.
In the past I would have had all my characters to max level, now I have two 120s and one at 115. The rest are 103 and lower. If Blizzard doesn’t care, why should I.
I am waiting for part two to level my alts, but the way it looks now, that may not happen until a year after launch, and I don’t plan on waiting around that long.

Instead of saying “No”, think of a compromise.

Ok, flying after pathfinder part 1.

During legion and wod it was easy, you obtained both part I and part II just through normally playing the game. What’s the point of an achievement if you’re not playing?

That’s cute.

Every other achievement gives you the reward right then and there. Don’t see why PF should be any different.

(Admit it, you’re just in this thread to argue.)

YES, I AM WELL AWARE THAT PF 1 GIVES FASTER MOUNT SPEED.

There is zero reason why it can’t award flight in the zones you’ve already finished. If you already did the chores, you did the content.

Pathfinder does though. Part 1 gives you a mounted movement speed increase.

You’re smarter than that I know you got my point. It honestly should just award flight for the zones that you completed the achievement in.

But you do have a reward for part 1 so your point is void…

(Already adressed, woops)

But yeah bfa is one expansion i could see flight available now for the current content. I don’t see why wait…

Sort of - it only gives you a mounted speed increase if you’re not in a guild - it unfortunately doesn’t stack with the boost you get from being in a guild.

Also doesn’t stack with paladin’s

You’re right, forgot that Paladins & DK got a mounted speed increase that Pathfinder 1 doesn’t stack with. It’s a shame really. IMO the speed increase from Pathfinder 1 should stack with guild/class increases - it’s pretty meaningless as is. (Unless you’re not a Paladin or a DK and you’re not in a guild)

Remember pathfinder is the devs retailation at the players that wanted flying. They say its a compromise when there really just lying to the players. Otherwise they would have reverted back to a flying trainer at max level. Lets just hope the next round of layoffs will have those responsible for this retailation.

You are right the reward is basically useless.

Pathfinder has already failed for me because of the artificial wait and the lack of flight in relevant content. No amount of massaging fixes the fake feel of it.

It basically comes down to having to make someone like you via a tedious rep grind before you can fly. It makes no sense even from an RP standpoint.

Playing devil’s advocate but they never said the achievement would be on expansion release. Calling them liars is pushing it a bit…
