Pathfinder Part 2 can still work, but it needs to change

Don’t pin lost subs on flight only. There can be a thousand reason why. You vastly overestimate the number of players on these forums.

If you wanna think the forums alone dictates what the player wants, I can just as well say they’re perfectly fine with no flying because I haven’t heard a single person in my guild complaining about it.

No it cannot work because it makes absolutely no sense. This is like laughing at a 2 year old doing something bad it will just encourage them to do it more.

Did you somehow miss my ‘crap content’ remark?
I know what ive read about WoD and the reaction to the threat of flight being removed.
As i said. NO ONE is gong to quit over flight being made easier to get.
Even those crying that they hate flight USE it and they know they do. Its a useful tool and makes this game much more fun to play and we all know it.

Im not estimating anything. Im looking at a company killing their game and its subscribers with overbearing, UNfun crap and trash content while a handful try to claim that somehow flight and LFR destroyed the game. Nonsense.

Again…no one is going to quit if flight is made easier to get.

Opinion.

So you’re saying they’re deliberately trying to kill one of the biggest and most well known franchise?

maybe just have it where you can buy flying at level cap on your ‘main’ and then unlock flying for your alts via pathfinder that can be unlocked via normal questing through the content along the way to level cap.

yeah…sure…sorry, whats the approximate sub numbers these days compared to a decade ago?
Sorry friend, but if this game were cranking out fantastic content we’d have more people wanting to play.
Nothing about that is opinion. Do you even know how a business with customers works?

Well, if I were a conspiracy theorist sort I’d pull my money out of this company right now and start searching for the mole who’s giving them bad advice.

I dont know what their motivation is.
All Iknow is when I see stupid mistakes being made over and over.

buddy bliz intentionally times pathfinder 2 (and thus flying) for big lulls in the population/subs.

it’s gonna be long and awful, with unnecessary grinds, because they are out of ideas to retain players

There is literally nothing in bliz’s analysis that factors in ‘value and fun for the player’. Just straight spreadsheet analytics to determine the maximum amount of grind the players will endure for this reward

This overall design philosophy is why BfA feels so tedious so often

And I’m saying that flight is FAR FAR FAR from being the main factor for those unsubbing otherwise you’d have left in the last 4 years.

Don’t misunderstand me, I have issues with the current state of the game, and I will fly as soon as it’s available BUT its current absence is not at all a problem to me and if I think like that, it’s irresponsible to just dismiss the possibility that many thinks like me.

Remember, people come here to complain. Those without a problem are in the game already.

It’s correct to have multiple theories on-hand.

For example, another major contributing factor to sub loss is a lack of content for the casual player outside of hard content.

In all fairness, to get pathfinder part 1 down, it still IS a grind. What you’re trying to say is that the grind is less of a grind when you obtain it through normal play. Anyone starting from scratch late in the game will consider it a pretty hefty grind, understandably. Which sucks for those people.

there is a hefty chunk of players that would prefer to skip as much questing as possible, preferring to level by dungeons/bg’s/invasions

for them pathfinder, regardless of /playedtime is just a punishing ordeal consisting of paying to be bored by their entertainment

even the scope of pathfinder is grossly excessive, it could be set to HALF of what it requires and still take too long as an ordeal of boredom

I don’t disagree. I did this in Legion. I left about 3 months in the Legion, didn’t come back until Nov of last year. I leveled my Warrior to 120, then went back and grinded the Pathfinder Achieves to get flying for alts… It was a grind for certain. Would have been much easier if I didn’t leave for 2 years!

Which is essentially the way I am doing BfA’s Pathfinder achieves now. Mucho bettor

No thanks. We don’t need to start turning this game into either play the game you are playing for and put in some work for something you want or just pay with gold. How about we either do Mythic raiding or just pay gold for the gear.

People need to stop with this either or nonsense. If you want something then do what is required. Why even play a video game if you all you want is God mode?

It’s called compromise. Personally, I’d never pay gold for it since I can earn it by playing, however, we used to be able to pay gold for it, as soon as we hit max level - there’s a good portion of players who want that option back instead of pathfinder.

Personally I like pathfinder, but a lot don’t, therefore the compromise. We all know that if it did return for gold, it’d be fairly cost prohibitive anyway so only a small subset of players would actually be able to buy it for gold.

They’d base the cost on how much gold the average player should have when they hit 120, not on how much gold the richest players have.

End of the day, accept that you wont be flying until at least August of this year…thats another five months from now.

Thats the reality.

They would never let you pay for it cheap if PF stays. That would defeat the purpose of having PF so restrictive to begin with. And I’ll even add that, if they ever let you buy flight, then make it also impossible to get any PF progression on that character.

No one is bickering? Have you even read the replies?

Correction: no one was bickering.

Yes and players hung wod for it as well as all the other problems.

Blizz will never be able to remove flying outright just timegate it.

I was of the understanding it was meant for us to immerse ourselves in the landscape, see the beautiful zones, immerse ourselves in the story.

Part 1 takes care of all that. I, and I’m fairly confident that anyone who is serious about flying in current content would have had it months ago…geez I reckon people who don’t want to fly would have Part 1 complete by now.

I currently have 7 toons at max level, my lowest being around 380 iLvL and 75% towards exalted with all the factions, I also have completed paragon on serveral factions with several toons.

I think the fact that it is not currently in the game is pure spite.
