Worked on Timeless isle. The regular mobs gave like 10, or 15 rep points, and elites, if remembering correctly gave like 25, or 50? Fun times grouping up with folks for a hour, or two of mob grinding, and maybe mixing it up with some pvp on occasion. What we did with the saberstalker whatever they were in Tanaan also. The biggest gripe I have with pathfinder in it’s current form is the lack of alternate routes to gain rep. Also advocated for being able to gain rep via dungeons. Make a weekly rep reward of maybe 500, or 1000 rep points for the first random dungeon you run in a week(weekly reset). That would prevent dungeon spamming. Might also help keep normal, and heroic dungeons relevant longer during a expansions run, and might help with long dungeon ques. I mean, if they are that adamant about cramming trash mobs in our faces like we got in the 8.2 zones then at least make them worth something besides a couple gold, and a few copper lol.

flying wasn’t a problem for about a decade

they think they do but they really don’t

Yep and 8.2 has made the game extremely alt-unfriendly as only the most dedicated and/or masochistic players can stomach Mechagon and Nazjatar on alts.

With flying and free 385 upgradeable gear it’s not that hard to stomach, it’s a lot more alt friendly than Vanilla or B.C. were. I love Nazjatar, and I don’t have flying yet.

This is who I’m doing Nazjatar on since she’s my herbalist.

Tsavis’s alt.

Thats not up to blizzard to decide how we consume the game, ppl like to play how they want, if the game allows that then its a great game, when you start putting, gates and funnelling players into a style of play you start to lose them, just see how WoW was then and how is it now.

Absolutely this. Wow used to be a true adventure game. Now we play the on rails dev funhouse experience.

Precisely. Blizzard’s job is to put out fun content. If the player base consumes it too rapidly, that’s the fault of the player base, not Blizzard. It’s not their job to police player time and save them from themselves. I’ve always felt that was a terrible excuse for things like time-gating.

There was no flying in WoD at launch. Blizzard said they weren’t going to add flying for future content. They added pathfinder because of the backlash.

I’m saying they should have just stuck to no flying if they didn’t want flying, backlash or not.

I disagree with this a lot. When I compare say Classic with Retail I don’t get the same feeling. Dying in Classic vs dying in Retail is much different. To give you a tldr, I don’t get the sense of danger in retail but what I get is an annoyance while in Classic I would get the sense of being in danger because dying in Classic is harsher compared to retail. It’s just simply not the same.

Blizzard had no choice. The loss of players due to that stupid decision would have financially hurt them more than deemed acceptable.

Pathfinder exists because the devs are petty

oh they had a choice they just didn’t stop to consider how bad the consequences would’ve been

But it was an entirely accurate one.

The problem is not he players but Blizzard. Artificial gates to keep the minimal amount of a content ‘relevant’ just highlights that Blizzard has failed in adjusting to how gamers operate now. Intentionally blocking the most popular aspect of the game for almost a year because Blizzard is too slow just show that Blizzard has to change, not gamers.

Can all the people on this tread please log in the game, press escape, help and then suggestion ? so we can massively tell blizzard how they are wrong at making our game ? i think they just need to understand how much their players disagree with them to change their mind. afterall, they make this game for us arent they ?

Remember, Blizzard isn’t only making the game for us in the U.S. They are also making it for EU and Chinese markets as well. Both are much larger than the U.S. market.

If certain ‘features’ added to the game work for non-U.S. markets and fans, those elements will be in the game even if U.S. players don’t like 'em.

Flying doesn’t allow you to rush. At least not as much as you claim it does. If you need to kill certain mobs for drops or kill them for a kill count flying will not help you do it. Sure, you can cherry pick a Wanted Dead mob by flying over some trash mobs to get it done a little quicker but that’s about all it does for you content wise. Flying is more quality of life than anything. You don’t have to drag trains everywhere you go, which can potentially get someone killed. That and it allows a safe way to AFk during emergencies. Need to pee so bad you can taste it? Kid plays Dizzy Dizzy Dinosaur and clocks the end table with his/her head? Meteor obliterates your car? No worries! You’re in the air where no mob can see you. Hurry to take care of it and get back to playing the game when you can.
