Didn’t know we were focused on your subjective opinion regarding world quests instead of just pointing out the math and logistics behind the reputations.
Now that I know, okay. Sorry to hear, hopefully you can grin and bear it for the reward you want?
I agree, flying should be purchasable at max level, but I feel there should still be a reputation grind. As it stands now, flying is timegated content. I don’t agree with timegating content like this. Flying should be part of the expansion’s release. Once the player hits Exalted with all the appropriate reputations, they can go to a trainer and drop thousands of gold to start flying around - not wait until half of the expansion is over and do relatively boring things in game.
If it were up to me, we would get patch 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 with the release of an expansion but to access all of that juicy content you have to really grind and work your way up the ladder otherwise you can’t participate.
Thanks for the reply. I agree, it’s with the execution.
I don’t have an issue with Loremaster or even exploration. But when it’s time gated for 9+ months, there is a real money cost to it.
Blizzard won’t advertise, hey…buy our newest expansion and then pay an additional $135 and also have revered reputations to fly, because everybody and their brother would know that’s a completely BS way to sell a game.
But you know what…that’s exactly what they are doing. And because some people like it, they openly tell other players to quit if they don’t like it.
I’m all for people disagreeing here. I just hate the tone that so many take with each other. ← This is not directed at you in any way, I appreciate your thoughtful response.
Oh and I 100% agree with you on class redesign stuff. It’s like the past 3 expansions have been a net zero for your characters. We’ve gained literally nothing, only earning back what we once had. That’s got a bad taste to it.
Came here to say this. Of course people are free to play this way, but they can’t realistically expect to never run into problems… they’d basically putting on blinders and trying to pretend the rest of the game doesn’t exist, which as it turns out is not optimal in a game that favors more well-rounded play.
