Patch 11.1.5 is Here—So Where Is The Dinar Announcement, Blizzard?

I have a sneaking suspicion you’re just making this up…since literally no one “plans their progression” about some items they’d have access to in 4-5 months.

Yea, people are taking everything personal and getting so mad, but it’s 100% incompetence.

yes they did

inb4 some variant of “that’s not a promise” or “it’s still soon”

Blizzard only does interviews with people that will offer no push back or clarification and pre arranged questions.

I don’t really blame the devs though, the entire thing is probably controlled by some out of touch pr team that doesn’t play games.

It’s amazing how the SoD team seems to have free reign and gets to do cool things seemingly on a whim.

Why would we want trinkets and a ring after the tier is done?

So you got lucky and found a determined group? Cool

by the time that chips comes out, it be close to next tier content and wouldn’t matter. If they’re smart enough they would release it now and let us enjoy it.

I would expect that Blizzard will never talk about the puzzling chips again and launch them with 11.1.7. They want people to play the content as long as possible but they also don’t want to take responsibility for things they say or do when they fall through.

Kick The War Within Season 2 Into Turbo Boost May 13!

Because nothing says “deterministic loot system” like having to kill Mythic Gallywix on every single alt just to unlock the privilege of spending 3 Chips on a Myth-track Eye of Kezan.

  • There’s no mention of it being account-wide (AOTC/CE)
  • It’s not legacy unlocked.
  • It’s not even practical unless you’re already deep into mythic raiding on multiple toons aka less than 1% of the player base.

Who thought this was a good design? “Here’s a deterministic system… but only if you’ve already proven you don’t need it.” It’s targeted loot, with the handcuffs of RNG still wrapped around alts and casuals. If the goal of Dinars is to alleviate RNG frustration, then making boss kills character-specific defeats half the point.

You’re telling me I need to:

  • Kill Mythic Gallywix on every single alt to unlock a Myth-track Eye of Kezan?
  • Wait 3 weeks minimum just to afford one item? And repeat this per character, even though my main already unlocked the kill?

Want to fix this? Here’s how: Make boss unlocks account-wide.

If I’ve killed Mythic Gallywix on my main, let my alts access Myth-track purchases. Full stop. I’ve earned it. Heroic unlocks Hero track. Mythic unlocks Myth track. We already grind sparks, crests, and currency across multiple systems. If Dinars are supposed to be a relief valve, don’t wrap them in another layer of friction.

Why should someone’s alts have mythic eye of kezan? Furthermore why are you even buying a raid progression trinket with your dinars if you aren’t doing mythic. That is insane.

Because some people enjoy playing alts and like them to be high powered and getting the trinket will help them kill faster in non-mythic settings. Why does it matter?

This is well written and reasonable. They shouldn’t say something about this topic without following through and providing what they said they would. People were planning their gear prog around those tokens…
