Patch 10:2 is the last chance to save story of the Night Elves and Tyrande

The Orcs paid? How? What have they actually lost? Ogrimar? Nope they still have it. Thrall? Nope! Green Jesus still lives. Draenor? Who do you think blew it up? An orc, Ner’zhul.

The Night Elves just wanted to chill in Ashenvale and Darkshore. If the Orcs had stayed out of Ashenvale and not murdered Cenarius in the first place. Night Elves and Orcs would be a little friendlier.

The Orcs chose to drink fel blood, TWICE. They chose to forsake their ancestors and heritage to follow the path of violence. The Orcs are the cause of the Orcs shame. Blame an outside influence all you want. People need to accept responsibility for their choices.

Try as the Horde may to distance themselves from their “shameful” past. One can not build a strong house on rotten foundations. The Orcs are still rotten. It wasn’t the Legions fault that the Horde decided to commit genocide at Teldrasil. It wasn’t the Legion that made the Orcs destroy Theramore.

How many times does the Horde have to commit atrocities for people to realize that Blizzard has written the Horde to be the WoW equivalent of the Axis powers of WWII?

TLDR: Orcs turned themselves into villains and deserve no pity.

Ysera come back in DR but she do nothing. Even in the patch 10.2, I’m not sure if she will be a big help.

Ysera won’t be an Aspects because of Marithra.

He could do so much in this patch to save the Dream. Another wasted potential for him.

This tree could be a important for the new generation of Dragon Riders of Loreth’Aran and the druids but I’m not sure if it must become the center of their culture, science and religion. Don’t forget we have Moonglade too.

Yes to this. Undercity needs a portal too. But yes, we need more portals for each major Night Elf city. It could be really great.

Do Night Elves need to get a new world tree to be able to live in Azeroth? No, they can live without this. Sylvanaar is the perfect example, a city without this kind of tree and they can perfectly live in this city. They even build this city themself. They just need to find a perfect place to do it in Kalimdor.

Amidrassil was created by their supreme goddess. If every religion received gifts from their God, they would surely focus all their attention on it. We even see it in real life. Moonglade is an important place for Kaldorei, but also for all druids on Azeroth. It’s more of a zone created for druids themselves than the night elves. Amidrassil, on the other hand, has many unexplored powers from Dream and Shadowlands. Magic of Ardenweald would be a new branch of druidic science which the new generation of druids would be very interested in.

Portals will only be needed if Amirdrassil stays on the islands. If we plant it on Kalimdor it won’t be necessary. Although a quick trip between cities in Dream would be really cool. It reminds me of the webway concept from Warhammer

Of course NE don’t need a big tree to live, but they would be missing something. Elves having a big tree are one of the stereotypes that I don’t think harm anyone.

Nothing telling us it will become a thing for the druids

I prefer to see their new capital in Kalimdor not in the Dragon Isles.

I’m not against a new portal for the Night Elf capital in the Mage Quarter.

We get a portal for the Dream but in Valdrakken.

So we agree with that.

It depends what we will get with this. Living without a world tree (except Nordrassil) could be an interessing new step in their live. As I said, they live perfectly in Sylvanaar in Outland. Why can’t they do the same thing in Kalidor?

Night Elves lived near to a world tree but Sylvanaar show us they can live without a world tree. Of course, everything will be different if we could get Amirdrassil in Kalimdor or the new Night Elf capital in Kalimdor.

World trees have always been more associated with druids, and on PTR turned out, many druids drew magic from them. So of course Blizzard will add something Ardenweald related powers to this tree. Amirdrassil already has a lot of the Night fae aesthetic.

Me too.

Only if portal gonna have Dream aesthetics.

Of course they can live without tree, but in Wow many people get used to the image of Night Elves and their tree-capital in the background. Elves without trees are like Humans without castles or Orcs without spikes. Of course they can live without it, but it has already become an integral and iconic part of them.

As you mentioned, their own stupidity destroyed their planet, all Warlords responsible for all the wars and corruption were killed. For years they were kept in camps often in terrible conditions. We repeatedly see Orcs NPCs regrets their past sins. Remember, it was burning Legion who manipulated and enslaved Orcs. Since the beginning, Thrall’s Horde was determined not repeat mistakes of the past. Unfortunately, they threw it all away during WOD when it turned out that Orcs were conquerors at heart.

To be honest, WOD did as much damage to Lore as SL. Other dimensions and alternate timelines are too difficult as a topic for many writers, and Blizzard did it just for the Cool effect. it looked like fanfiction written by some orc fan who didn’t like direction where story was going (which is not that far from truth)

This will be a hot take but adding time magic/dragons to warcraft was a terrible idea and make Lore messy.

More the ptr comes more I fear we get Amirdrassil as new capital for Night Elves. They will leave Kalimdor letting to the Horde their whole territories. Everything from the Night Elf culture from Warcraft III will be gone if Amirdrassil become their new capital after a very bad heritage quest. This quest is a shame for the Night Elf and they want to continue to destroy what we like in the Night Elf culture and all the lore from Warcraft III. If Amirdrassil become their new capital in the Dragon Isles, Night Elves will be gone for me. I will make my own headcanon because Bliz can’t make an appropriate story for the Night Elves for several years. They are one of the most famous and loved races in the game and they can’t write good stories for them (and even more if Amirdrassil if is planted in the Dragon Isles. It’s incomprehensible. Night Elves is one of the reasons I’m playing World of Warcraft. I like this race and I don’t like seeing this race in this state.

It’s something people haven’t liked since the rumors began. Planting a new Night Elf home on an island, on the other side of the world, text to plains that have nothing to do with Night Elf aesthetic or history. Literally they put it over the Sunwell. I’m a bit amused by the argument of some people who think that Amirdrasill will be safe on the Dragon Ilses. “Amirdrassil will be safe there from Horde’s attacks.”

Friends, we’re planting this seed above Silvermoon, the second largest Horde state, right above their most sacred and defended source of power. This is not a safe haven like many said. What’s worse, there are no such barriers between them as a Darkshore or Ashenvale with military outposts. Horde fleet can easily approach the shores of the island, when NE fleet will have to sail around the entire seas. I mentioned above the defense of the tree by dragons, but seeing their absence during the invasion of Teldrassil, I don’t think they would be too keen to defend it.

"The problems of mortals do not concern us, It’s not our business, " - probably some random NPC dragon, soon.

I understand you perfectly, I have the same impression. What I don’t like about Blizzard is that they ignore our requests. We screamed about how sending Malfurion to a nap was terrible idea, and they did it anyway. We talked about how planting World Tree on Dragon Ilses was a terrible idea, and they did it anyway. Let Tyrande be useful! She has done literally nothing in the last 6 years. But for Sylvanas they created extra books, models, quests and dialogue options. We know she’s Blizzard favorite, but when all the attention is on writers favorites, fans of the other races just start to walk away in frustration. Worst of all, Blizzard knows how to listen to its playerbase. Merithra and Ebyssian only became Aspects thanks to players quick reaction. However, when the Night Elves fans starts speaks, Blizzard seems to become deaf.

Current writers see Night Elves as stereotypical cute elves who shoot bows and defend trees. But from the beginning, NE was a dark mirror of these stereotypes. I hope that Metzen’s return will restore them to their former glory.

blizzard doesnt like nelves lol. like at all, so gl with that. we need more undead stuff

In this moment, nobody is surprised by this.

No, all four OG races should take a break for at least one expansion. Humans, Orcs, Night Elves and Foresaken have a ton of content over the last few years. If the rumors are true and next expansion will focus on the dwarves on Allaince side, do not return Thrall, give the Taurens, Trolls or even goblins characters a chance

Nothing confirmed for now. I don’t know if it’s the map part for the Dream or just a new area for Amirdrassil. As we don’t know what is this, I don’t know what I must think. I will try to know more about this and I hope Amirdrassil will be in Kalimdor or their new capital will be in Kalimdor.

I don’t understand how Malfurion can be avoided like this for this patch.

Ysera does nothing in DF meanwhile we need powerful allies to fight Fyrakk. This is the patch of all druids and Malfurion will be absent again. This is so depressing since Vanilla, Malfurion does nothing for the Alliance or for the Night Elves in the game. We need to read the expanded universe to have something about him.

In the game, he is always sleeping or kidnapped except for BfA where he can fight 3 or 4 Horde “peons” and that’s all. For the rest of BfA, he is absent and same thing for SL. He sleeps until Cata, he just does a massive swirling vortex of air at its epicenter the Eye of the Vortex and he says a “hi” in the Firelands. He do nothing between MoP and WoD. And he is kidnapped by Xavius in Legion.

And after all of that, how can we take him seriouly in the game? How can we know he’s the first mortal druid on Azeroth and one of the most powerful druids?

And of course, Night Elf heritage quest was really bad about the Night Elf heritage. It brings nothing about the lore of Night Elf or for their heritage.

This quest has many problem too:

  • The mother of Arko’narin Starshade and Lysander Starshade can’t be druid before Warcraft III because Tichondrius corrupted Felwood with the Skull of Gul’dan during the Third War (her mother “slept” in the barrow den BEFORE this one be corrupted by the demons in the Felwood). Only men could be druids before Warcraft III and only women could be sentinel or warden.
  • We can find Mag’har Orcs (brown Orc) in the Jaedenar troops (Jaedenar warrior). These Orcs sould have been green Orcs because Mag’har are uncorrupt Orcs. And they are with the Burning Legion in the FELWOOD so all should be corrupted.
  • A Nathrezim is the big bad. But now we know they are Jailer agents. So why is he here? He should be with the other Nathrezim and not with the Burning Legion.
  • We know Hel’nurath is the reason of the corrution of the moonwell in Felwood and we just need to kill the Nathrezim (Hel’nurath) to purify the moonwell. And that’s all? We need to keep in mind Tichondrius corrupted Felwood with the Skull of Gul’dan during the Third War and even when Illidan kills him, the whole Felwood was still corrupted.
  • Lysander explains to Maiev she was right to be suspicious of Kaldorei doing arcane magic, he understands her and he forgives her. But it’s not the “true story”. Maiev hates the Shendralar, she hunted and murdered them wanting that these rabbles disappears once and for all. And Lysander justifies Maiev was right to kill the Shendralar with these sentences. And of course, who is he to forgive in the name of a persecuted order? What legitimacy does he have? We know nothing about him.
  • How can’t we mention the Highbornes or the Shendralar in this heritage quest with a Kaldorei mage? Not everyone knows the story of the Kaldorei. And of course not a word about the Lysander’s past: how did he became a mage? What lead him to the Shendralar? etc
  • Lysander speaks about his parents many times but we know nothing about them at the end (except they are druids): Are they dead? When? Why?

Night Elves got this heritage quest to clean and retake this area for the Kaldorei. Having their new capital in the Dragon Isles means to abandon the Felwood to the Horde so this heritage quest will be useless for the Night Elves. And of course, we can say the same thing to Darkshore, Ashenvale and Winterspring (and maybe even Hyjal) so if Night Elves leave Kalimdor, these territories will become Horde territories. It will be the natural order of things.

Sometime we can think they forget Malfurion because they don’t know how to use him or Night Elves are already a capital with Hyjal or the Night Elves are retaken Darkshore and Ashenvale after fighting tooth and nail many soldiers of the Horde and sacrifices.

So I hope their will keep their capital in Kalimdor or Amirdrassil will be planted in Kalimdor. We don’t need an massive exodius for them because they are an iconic race FROM Kalimdor and not from the Dragon Isles.

Patch 10.2 coming soon, I really hope Bliz will take notes that all we said here for the story. :dracthyr_uwu: :dracthyr_heart:

Yea it is. It totally doesn’t make any sense at all when Malfurion barely even did anything epic right after when BFA Ended. I don’t get it.

There’s no reason. Writers just don’t like him. But at least they should give him respect he deserves as a warcraft legend.

I understand why Ysera wasn’t important before. Each patch focused on a different flight, now it’s time for the green dragons to shine. so I would give Ysera some more time to prove herself. But why we didn’t at least get a reaction to her return from other dragons, especially Alexstrasza? This is almost a years.

This has always puzzled me. Metzen mentioned many times how his favorite character is Malfurion, but as you said, he appears so rarely and when he finally does, he’s a total embarrassment.

Blizzard forgot its own lore.

Blizzard forgot its own lore.

I hope these are make hints that Blizz gives us. Denathrius certainly hasn’t forgotten about Azeroth. Since there is no Jailer, he will try to take this power himself. Perhaps he wanted to establish a foothold in Fellwood, or perhaps he simply wanted to prevent the night elves from rising from their knees as Azeroth’s most powerful guardians. If we meet DaddyD again and he doesn’t mention hel’nurath and his plans about Fellwood at all, I will be very disappointed.

Blizzard forgot how crazy Maiev can be.

Blizzard don’t care.

and again… they don’t care.

I feel like everything will be revealed at Blizzcon
