I don’t care if the content is small or boring. I just don’t understand how they expect us to play without nameplates. The text above a player doesn’t cut it, it’s transparent blue and aliased to unreadability. It’s grating to look at. Please bring back nameplates …
Shadowlands had more players than dragonflight says a lot.
I’m excited but I’m an end-game enjoyer so I’m looking forward to Season 2 with the new raid and such.
Hmmm you don’t say?
Maintenance mode is close yall. Accept it.
Because they chose to. They were waiting in their garrison to play the core content(dungeons, raids, pvp). If the garrisons ceased to exist, it didn’t affect the core. So yeah, it’s pretty much a side feature.
Does this thread really have to pop up every single patch? Go play something else.
So how about people that don’t raid, pvp, or do dungeons? What are they supposed to do?
RP clearly.
Probably play a different game tbh. Those are the 3 biggest content pillars in the game lol
Is anyone subbing JUST to play pet battles & dragon races?
Only 2 things are always true on the forums.
1st the current xpac is the worst and this patch is gonna kill wow
2nd previously xpac that were consider bad during their time are not so bad.
You’d be surprised. There’s a reason blizz has put so much more time into open world content like primal storms, dragon bane keep, grand hunts, community feasts…
Hypothetically, do world content. Level alts as it was soooo easy to level alts in WoD. Arguably the best expac for it. But were you expecting world content in your garrison?
Tell me this, if they had actually advanced the garrison to be more like player housing, would that have solved your issue with it? You had daily things to do there, while maybe not the best time spent, if it were more customizable and not a solitude chamber, I think it could have been interesting.
Also, the more time players spent in there waiting for content to do, the more they grew to hate it. So if there were more core things to do, it wouldn’t have been such an issue. Therefore, the problem was LACK of content, not that the content was bad. The opposite problem of later expansions.
Honestly if you want to play WoW and you don’t want to do endgame group content, I would try classic. Because you are alone most of the time (especially in hardcore since you can’t group up in open world) and the leveling experience brings more of the day-to-day content to the open world.
Dragonflight has a few things in the open world, but I’m not sure if it’s enough to keep you satisfied by itself? Personally I had fun getting the Forbidden Reach meta-achievement. Try 100%ing the game maybe?
Well I don’t do any of that right now and kind of bailed early in the expansion on it but I still find plenty to entertain myself with from alt leveling, collecting and just whatever I feel like doing.
You do have a game that has content spanning almost two decades at this point… I’m sure you can find something to do in the game if you want to and if you can’t, maybe it’s time to play something else.
Yes WoD had an issue with not only bad content (the garrison) but lack of content. Again not everyone is into the “3 pillars” of endgame.
The best thing to me is Cross Faction Guilds. I’ve been waiting for that for a long time.
Again, was the issue with garrisons that it was underdeveloped or just purely bad?
And were you expecting world content in your garrison? You don’t have anything close to a garrison now and you’re playing.
It wasn’t what was promised. They underdelivered. But it did not affect the core of the game(class design, raids, dungeons, pvp, etc.) So if you wanted more things to do, you agree that the issue was the lack of content.
The patch just came out. We don’t even have the raids or M+ dungeons yet. I’m excited for it, personally. I enjoyed the opening quest, think the caverns look sorta neat, and am eager to get in the new dungeons and raid.
Cross-faction guilds are hype…the only thing really missing now is cross-faction random bgs. I wish merc mode would act as a toggle for this…
Situation :: You’re playing horde, but your buddy is playing alliance…you guys can form a rated bg group together & play that…but what if you just want to run some chill randos
Solution :: You can toggle merc mode to queue as ally…and can now queue rando bgs with your ally friend (since you would be joining an ally bg anyways if you queued solo…)
