i’ll give an example
i had once gotten a 98 on Kelris. I was confuzzled what I could have done better on that fight to get a 99. I checked the logs and I realized instead of life tapping at the end of Kelris I could simply down a mana pot and save a couple globals to cast instead. i didn’t need a FAP because I had a priest. So I did that and then got my 99.
anyway moral of the story is that warcraft logs is a good resource to analyse your performance to see what you can do better. Sure its not “needed” on easy content like this, so then its good as a tool to do even more dps than next time, reducing fight and raid length, consume costs, and other things.

WOW isn’t competitive and no one cares about your PVE accomplishments in it even if it was competitive in PVP.
