This is so wrong that it makes me question if you’ve ever even looked at logs.
I have decent gear, but I have only a single blue parse to my name because I’m not as good at “pressing my keys” as other, more skilled players are. Gear definitely matters, but I guarantee you that I could trade gear with any orange parser and they would still out DPS me by an embarrassing margin.

If this is honestly what anti parsers believe then I am actually amazed at how low the skill level is in this game.

Yes, I agree. GDKPs, reserving everything, and a general lack of community are also features of this addiction.
Like I said, I’m not a fan of parsing, but i’ve seen enough to realize that it’s important enough to people for it to be a part of the game. Take it away, and you’ll lose a significant portion of your player base.
It’s a sign you want to do well. Why don’t you post from your level 40 so we can see your numbers and the real reason behind your post. If you suck you don’t deserve to run with a guild pushing speed times and trying to get purple/orange parses.

Parsing has become a major problem because there is no benefits for people with good parsing to team up with those with bad parsing. There is not any form of rewards or whatsoever.
Previously, there was GDKP so people was fine with those with bad parsing as that is quite often caused by lack of gears, and those without proper gears will buy gears in raid, generating income for the GDKP raids.
Now, there is nothing. Blizz needs to invent a new system to keep people with BIS gears running Gnomers.
It’s called being in a guild and helping your guildies get the gear they have been looking for the past 6 weeks. I’m being serious, that’s why those of us with bis or near bis gear keep raiding Gnomer. And raid logging for someone with a career and family is one of the best things about WoW. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Maybe you are being a responsible guildmate and wanna help those who need more gears, but I have seen so many who stop showing up because they got their BIS.
