They were a better addition than demon hunters.

Been playing since Classic. I’ll admit: When Mists was first announced, I was very skeptical and perhaps even downright pessimistic.
Now, Pandaren are my absolute favorite race. I firmly stand by the opinion that they have the best lore, aesthetics, and factions in all of WoW. I’d honestly quit the game if they were taken away at this point.

I hate elves. I think WoW elves are the absolute WORST representation of elves of any game world ive seen in my 40 years of RPGing both table top and digital.
Ive loved elves and dwarves in every other game system Ive ever tried. somehow blizzard made me sick of both. lol.
but I certainly dont think they should be removed because I find them to personally be a joke in WoW…and Im not going to bash anyone who plays them.

Pandas should of never been added, such a joke that really showed Blizz never wanted to fix the game after Cata’s fumble.
I’m glad Pandaren were made into a full playable race and that they have such extensive lore background now.

Nah, they were scrapped because they couldn’t figure out why Pandaren would be heading off to Outland so they gave us Draenei instead

I wanted to quit WoW when Blizzard release MoP.
Turns out it was a very nice expansion: just very alien.
Can someone explain this please? I’ve never heard this and I’ve been playing since Cata.
Pandaren were bound to happen at some point. They cater to a crowd of players that prior to MoP, WoW didn’t really have anything for.
Now 8ish years later, we have Vulperas and Pandaren so… 
Honestly, the lore their continent gave us more than makes up for whatever joke they were viewed as.
Pandaria gave us Lei Shen. That alone is a win of colossal proportions.
That’s a dumb take. One, you should learn what internalized racism means, and two the argument was never against non Western tropes but against Pandas and three non Western tropes have been ever present for a long time (half the horde for instance) so that doesn’t even make sense
China never had a problem with Pandaren in the game nor had the ability to ban them.
Needless to say Pandas were banned in Guild Wars due to ArenaNet not replacing Corpses with Tomestones like Chinese WoW does and China does not permit Corpses of Endangered Species(recently they banned all Corpses period)!
Blizzard due to not having Corpses in the Chinese Client unlike ArenaNet never had to worry about China barring them from publishing in China due to Pandaren death.
Blizzard presumably already filled WoW with all sorts of endangered species so Tencent probably felt reason enough to replace all corpses with Tomestones which worked well enough to keep Blizzard from randomly being Banned In China due to the ban on Corpses!
Pandaren are great. You guys just (justifiably) hate furries but like pandaren are the Good Furries because they’re chill people
I grew up with stuff like Star Fox and Swat Kats so I don’t see them being a problem.

People that call Pandaren joke is just insecure, you guys play cartoon game with colorful art style for kids, COD kids would laugh at you.
Pandaren fits the art style just fine.
Chen was in wc3 and there’s a keg quest in Barrens classic. The movie kung fu panda is why people thought it was a joke or copy.
I dislike Pandas because their overall design looks terrible.
Mantid, Broken, Sethrak, Arakkoa-- I prefer any of these four races over teddy ruxpin pandas.
I think given that their reception to this day is lukewarm at best, it probably was a bit of a mistake. They’re still mostly a joke race, and they make the game feel cartoonish whenever they’re around. Any scene or setting suffers with their presence, which for an MMO is a big deal.
