Pandaria was worst expansion change my mind

acknowledged cheesy writing/characters.

Landscape is utterly amazing IMO

So much edge happening in here ya think that Gillette was going out of business.

Tauren literally Moo. There have been jokes with each race since the game’s inception. The hate on a specific race is completely unjustified. No reason to hate the Pandas. Some folks first reaction is literally “I hate it.” It’s just negativity that isn’t even constructive. Your reasons aren’t even valid reasons, they just sound like reasons made up to justify why you hate Pandas. Still, I don’t agree.

Different interpretations, I suppose.

To me, their defining character trait is “has empathy for others.” That’s sort of hardwired into the entire story of that expansion.

It’s a toss up between WoD and BFA

When MoP started, I didn’ t like it a whole lot. But it grew on me. Eventually I think I had 16 max level characters and the raids were amazing.

BFA though, BFA was zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Was so unfriendly to alts, I just didn’t login much at all. That was the worst expansion of all time.

honestly the worst thing about mists of pandaria is the hozen and their insanely stupid language.

Has WoW ever explained the Japanese influences within post-Azshara night elf society?

Missed opportunity for sure. Instead of diving into that they went full China. You never go full China.

I diagree. I wasn’t a huge fan of Pandaria or its lore, but I wouldn’t call it the worst.

The place for worst is a fierce competition between WOD and SL for me. WOD for the massive waste of potential & lack of content & SL for the godawful writing and “lore” it has pushed on us.

Even as a Pandaria apologize, I 100% agree. I was over them within the first few minutes. Fortunately they largely got left behind after Jade Forest, with only a few exceptions after that.

i fully agree. the 2nd worst thing is the grummles.

Pandaria is like pre-90’s Disney, sure it’s campy on the surface but the further you delve into it the darker it gets.

As someone who shunned the pandas at the time…

For me, I think it had a lot to do with the Kung Fu Panda shows, which at the time, made WoW look a little juvenile. Seemed like a straight up rip off of something I already looked at as a joke making me think they were really stretching now.

I’d stopped playing towards the end of WotLK and had heard the news about Cata and it’s downfall… made assumptions etc…

I’ve since eaten my words and spent a lot of time there doing stuff I missed.

So yeah, it’s probably people that didn’t even play at the time… jerks like me.

I have a soft spot for them, although its not so much the Grummles as it is the entire aesthetic of Kun-Lai: the prayer flags, the plateau, the Himalaya analogues, etc. The Nepalese/Tibetan influences.

I found Pandaria boring and wasn’t crazy about the expansion, but at worst it was really just average.

The devs would need to really try hard to make something worse than WoD though, the theme of that expansion had a lot of promise but the end result was just awful. WoD even had an entire content patch dedicated to adding a selfie cam …

Killer rabbits! /thread

No. My uncle’s neighbor works for the company that supplies the vending machines at Blizzard and he just confirmed that this isn’t true.
