I certainly wish they had more representation in WoW. I really enjoyed the monk class hall quest chain in Legion and the one for the mount, which was pretty much all Pandaria related.

Aysa is on the Wind’s Redemption in Boralus, the Shado-Pan has helped SI:7 (and probably the Horde equivalent) according to world quest text, and Pandaren were heavily involved in the monk campaign in Legion. This only really leaves Warlords of Draenor, which is understandable considering it was an alternate universe thing that was only useful for setting up Legion and bringing Mag’har Orcs to Azeroth.

Except Ji and Aysa aren’t really considered “leaders.” They’re masters of the respective Huojin and Tushui styles, but the Pandaren do not have any one person they look up to as a political leader and they haven’t since Emperor Shaohao.

They just stop using their staff and use their claws. Blizz doesn’t even have to add in any new animations or anything!

Feels bad when even gnomes have a heroic sequence in the new BfD cinematic.

I don’t feel bad though - I agree pandas were a mistake.

Ji’s in the crow’s nest on the Banshee’s Wail, too. But reaching him involves using a glider from the top of the pyramid, and it’s a hard landing to stick.
If you do, though, he wistfully tells you he wants to punch a dinosaur.

I agree that playable Pandaren in Mists of Pandaria were a mistake; the players should have been furbolgs and the NPCs should have been Pandaren. They could have even used the same model, just different textures to differentiate. Then, when Allied Races were introduced, Pandaren could have been added as the option.

As for representation in BfA, I place the blame strictly on the Tortollan. If that role had instead been filled by the Lorewalkers, Pandaren would have an appropriate presence in Battle (save their use as footsoldier fodder at the various ports). Instead, we got turtles.

And that’s the most impressive thing about Nomi. He actually managed to get atmospheric pressure physics wrong when cooking.
