Dracthyr for me
Pandaren feel like theyâd naturally fit in the WoW universe. We have Furbolgs; we know their cousins.
Also MoP really delivered as an expansion, Iâd put it up there after Wrath.
Dracthyr donât feel natural to WoW, for me. Especially since they are yet another variety of elf âweâve never seen beforeâ. They lived on a âhiddenâ continent; itâs literally a rehash of MoP but dragon-themed.
The original MoP did it best.
Thatâs all I really have to say.
I love dragons and Iâm happy some kind of dragon race is coming, but the way they look as is, is kind of goofy to me, so Iâm not sure. Itâs not the way a humanoid dragon should look in my brain, so Iâll probably lean more Panda if things donât change. MoP is one of my favorite xpacs too and this guy as been my main since then. /shrug

Iâve been looking for a mobile mid-ranged class for ages. Plus, dragons (Especially those that defy the western dragon of big dumb and burly) are cool.
Who cares if they were a joke originally? Warcraft is not some grimdark universe and pandaren fit the more lighthearted but still containing serious elements of Warcraft. And they were relatively unique at the time.

I havenât seen enough about Dracthyr to make a preference between the two yet.
Pandas are cool as monks, though a bit awkward as other classes.

As insanely well done as MoP was, nevermind for an expansion derived from a stupid April Foolâs joke built off drunken confusion between panda and polar bearsâŚ

Mokânathal > Ogre > Drakonid > Dracthyr > Pandas
I would take Ogres before Mokânathal though since they are a core race that is STILL lacking a playable model. Long, long overdue that we get one.
I HATE Pandaren because we got them before Ogres. I actually do not like BEâs either because of the same thing. When Pandaren were announced I was burnt out on WoW and it pushed me over the edge that we got them before Ogres.
I quit in Nov. 2011 and didnât return till 2017 because of Pandaren. I did get some 7 day free time from Blizz in-between those dates twice and I think I came back for a month before Legion to get ready for its launch only to have a pre-patch ruin my Enhancement Shaman and I quit again.
Blizz also gave me MoP and I think WoD for free. I donât think I ever wouldâve bought MoP because of the Pandaren incident but WoD I probably wouldâve because I like Orcs.
Neither, both are bad.

Chen Stormstout in the expansion wasnât a joke though. He is one of the founders of ogrimmar.

Yeah having that as a panda is not fun cuz of the fur.
He was there solely for comic relief⌠to keep the new horde in stitches and spirits high through laughter everytime they looked at him, as they were literally in dire straits in the middle of a barren wasteland.
Pandas has tons of lore before they were introduced as a playable race so Iâm gonna go with that. Dragons are cool and all but they donât really fit the requirements for a playable raceâŚin many waysâŚ

The displayed Panda-hate here is very concerning, especially when people twist reality several times to find a reason to dislike them.
