You can. Use the race swapping toy as a demon hunter until you become Pandaren or use race illusion masks from enchanting.

Every time we maybe get close the elves start whining against it and Blizzard once more caters to their favorites and leave it an elf monopoly. Sad to say and not trying to doom and gloom but really sad they seem to be focusing on the elves for all the cosmetic stuff to some degree and the game itself seems to be getting crappier because of it. Maybe the void will do us all a favor in Midnight but sadly it seems like it’ll be more Teldrassil 2.0 featuring the blood elves instead of the night elves this time. 
Panda DH sound fun…so sick of elves at this point

Knowing Blizz, they give them to Humans and Orcs before literally everyone and anyone else.
