Panda DKs make more sense than Gnome DKs.
One thing a lot of people forget is that Warcraft has always had comical points to it, pandarens not excluded. Yes, there was some light hearted parts of MoP, but it was also one of their darkest written stories.
Pandaren’s are not comical at their core. They lived a secluded life shrouded from most of the world, and they lived at war for most of their existence against the Mantid, in a land where their very emotions could be manifested against them.
The comical stuff of Pandaria was shown up front, but quickly fades away the further into the expansion you go.
Yeah. I don’t get gnomes being DKs. Why would Arthas waste the time on it?

Everyone praises this guy for going after low levels, mean while I phase over to his server back in WoD and body him in a Leg Sweep as he tried running away…twice.
The edgy “I hate cute things” crowd like to brag about how tough they are but numbers are still numbers at the end of the day.

Legit question…So to play allied races as death knight you need the pre-order, haven’t got it just yet, but do you need the pre-order to play panda dks in 8.3?
Only asking because panda isn’t technically a allied race.
Orcs were the original DKs.

Yes to play as allied and panda DKs in 8.3 you need the pre order consider it a bonus for pre ordering.

According to an article:
Starting with Shadowlands (and starting early next year for players who pre-order the expansion), players can make a Death Knight class of any race. This includes the currently unavailable Pandarens from the Mists of Pandaria expansion, and all of the Allied Races added in Battle for Azeroth .
From that I read that it will be similar to what happened with Demon Hunters in Legion - if you preorder you can unlock them at some future stage prior to Shadowlands’ launch, but if you do it after the launch, you can do it then.

Ahh I like the panda race…at least its still actual wow lore, and they probably have more ingame lore than nearly half the races currently. I kinda wish their monk had caster spec besides mistweaver though. https://imgur.com/a/udFFhxz
