Pally class mount WHY?

clearly it is as hard as going to opposite faction city to kill an Auctioneer when it was current content /eyeroll

It was definitely worth it at the time. Ground mounts were all we had so it was exclusive to have. We spent many hours on the Charger getting around. we could sit on it in Ironforge for hours to show it off! Those were the days!

If you’re THAT upset over 1 mount, then I don’t even know what to tell ya. Maybe I’m just a filthy casual, but if I see a mount that I know is hard to get OR takes a very long time to get - I immediately skip over it.

Time is way too precious to sweat over 1 mount. Screw that.

Talking about the highlords steed? Same with the warlocks. It is a nod to the original epic mount questline and how time and resource consuming it was.

at least you dont need to be exalted with the reputation for unlock the questline like was in Legion expansion

the thing is that back in leigon you were organically building rep and increasing your ancient mana storage just playing the expansion.

Now that we are done playing fully in that expansion, its all grindy extra side quest stuff to get to that point with a new character.

It comes down to how badly you want something, it can be a grind but what isn’t in this game, do a bit here a little there, and before you know it you’ll have the mount.

I tried to look it up and didn’t see much for Warwithin. Is the Questline much different than vanilla? I just remember my main issue was gold since there was 0 inflation in the game that much gold took a while to get.

I’m old now but I recall the barding costing 500g? Is that right? Took me a long time to save up that much back then.

Some grinds are worse than others.

You can look up items that increase your cap of ancient mana and go get a few, just gotta fly around and gather some up after that. Of course you also have to do the Suramar intro quests to get the ability to turn into the disguise. It felt annoying to me too as my Paladin had barely done anything but it actually didn’t take that long imo

I loved the questline, getting my mount was so cool, I felt like I did something.

Same with the OG Warlock mount quest and demon tomes or w/e, just added so much flavor to the class fantasy.

Any idea if it’s personal loot or do you have to roll against others if it drops?

It’s personal loot.

The horse mount was (like with Warlocks) just an expansion on the mounts Paladins got during Vanilla. Just be thankful you got the glowing hoof-prints, as you almost didn’t.

While everyone is crapping on the OP, he kind of has a point.

As hard as the old Lv60 warlock/paladin class mounts were to get, they were just a single quest chain.

I got the Legion class mount for my main but I dread doing so for my future alts if they ever get high enough.

There is a post on Reddit about the requirements to even start the Legion mount quest - which Legion campaigns you need to complete and which you can skip if you have done it on another character already.

At this point WoW needs a “quest explorer” which allows you to search for quests by name and shows you the chain of dependencies each has - heck it would be even cooler if it “calculates” all you need to do (who to visit and which quests to pick up) for a certain quest to be available.

Having done both, the Legion mount was a walk in the park compared to the OG Charger quest chain.

As someone who got both the paladin AND warlock mounts back in vanilla, I just have to say… SERIOUSLY?!?

This isn’t a springboard to reminisce about how you had to walk uphill both ways. Can you please help the OP or be quiet? OP are you on the mount quest or still doing the order hall campaign? you have to do broken shore crap after the order hall campaign.

Lumy, unfortunately… this is what happens when you do things on other toons not your main.

I’m doing this for three toons, one a pally, and I’m hitting the same issue.

I feel your pain. You are not alone.

We can get through this together.
