Also the grip and gorefiend grasp won’t stop bosses and certain mini boss mobs from casting making AS better in regards to interrupting casts.

He honestly thinks grip is better when they will immediately start to re-cast afterwards. Him stating that casters die within 10 seconds also shows us the type of content he participates in.

All of Season 3 and 4 of SL BDKs were towering above Pallies in Tanking, this is not up for debate as it was fact. By the looks of it, unless changes happen, Prot Pallies are ranked the weakest and least useful tank in DF alongside monks, and by a noticeable margin.
BDKs have more than enough tools to deal with Caster Minions that makes your pitiful shield not really an excuse to bring Pallies over BDKs. We have anti caster systems plentiful in Grips, Gorefiends, AMS, AMZ, Interrupts, Stuns, plus whatever else the party itself brings.
Yep, having the extra interrupt on a boss can be super handy. Granted, there should be an interrupt rotation, but having the capability to cover for other interrupts without using your own off the gcd is great. It doesn’t even mess with the rotation since it’s effectively free.
Exactly. Grips aren’t a actual interrupt while AS is and will prevent the caster from using that school of magic for a few seconds

BDK was meta because of their DPS output. No one is disputing that BDK were the meta tanks. What we are arguing is that Paladin Tanks were top tier in terms of locking down casters. You are bringing in unrelated arguments again, just like you did with AMS instead of AMZ.
Lol you are the type to look at tier lists and believe them. Keep showing us the type of player you are. SL tier lists pre-launch did not hold up, they never do.
None of which is equivalent in terms of locking down casters as Avenger’s Shield, Rebuke, Divine Toll, and Hammer. Lmao.

Try being an unkillable god. Thats what really put them above Prot Pallies. I sure am glad you can lockdown casters, even though you go down in 2 melee hits from said caster but hey, its not casting spells!
To be honest, the second I killed Sire Denathrius I was done with this dog expansion. I actually care a bit about the story, and while mechanic wise it wasn’t terrible, the unholy bad story and the content draught was enough to push me away. But hey if it makes my point more valid, I will text you back when I am doing +15 to +20 on my BDK while pallies are getting 1 shotted in +12 keys.

I will add, however, that I do enjoy Paladins a lot more in PVP than DKs (1800 as Prot Pally in 2s) as such if they buff back WOG by 30% to 50% and bring back HP generation on AS, I will still play Paladin in DF.
But if no changes, dead spec, BDK full onward.
Not wrong here. The BDK self sustain was crazy good and made them the meta above pretty much the other tanks and their dps of course which is a result of being able to use the gavel of the first arbiter.
BDK was meta spec and a major reason why is because of their DPS. Bleeding Edge keys needs to do X-Damage within Y-Time. DPS from tanks and healers is crucial.
Again, you speak with no experience so your opinions hold no weight.

be more salty, i killed him in Normal and decided that the game was a travesty. I only returned for 2 weeks in S3 to get to 1800 as a Prot Paladin for the outfit and quitted immediately. I would argue that 1800 as Prot in arenas is a hundred times more difficult than any Mythic+ in any level.
