Been thinking about using my boost on a Prot Warrior but not sure if I should just focus on my Paladin instead as I have more time invested into it? Mostly looking at this for M+ over raids. I thought I was set on Brewmaster but that wasn’t the right fit for me so looking at either these two classes.
Which class between the two would you recommend?
Thanks!
Also, which race for a Horde Warrior would be best?
I don’t think the overall vibe has changed much, if you like group support and having lots of tools, pal, if you like active mitigation and aggressive button mashing warrior.
If you do most of your keys in PuGville, Paladin is a great choice as you can carry the interrupts for the group and help off-heal if you suspect the healer’s finger is in their nose rather than on their mouse too much of the time. Warrior is great if you like feeling that mobs aren’t actually auto-attacking you so much as bowing before you.

If you wanna carry the group on your shoulders, pick paladin. Tons of interrupts to control the flow of battle. Blessings of Freedom/Sacrifice/Protection for all sorts of circumstances. Limited but VERY powerful off-healing. Poison/Disease cleanse. Fast, ranged battle rez.

Warrior. I love paladins, but they are made to heal more than tank. Prot warrior feels really good right now, you have a few taunts and then defensive cool downs which if played right you won’t even need to be healed. Paladins have more utility, but they need to keep their shield up or they get owned way too quickly.
Yes pally tank can heal and bring group utility, but they can also get wrecked much easier than a warrior tank and don’t do half the damage a warrior can dish out.

I was debating the same question as OP, but I think you just sold me in 3 words
