Would absolutely love to keep being able to recruit folks to joining our server (Grobbulus Era) , even at a monetary cost. Itâs a good community to be a part of, and breath of fresh air compared to other communities like White Mane. Besides, I donât think other communities would appreciate my RP monologueâs in The Park as much as the Grobb community does.

As part of the Grobbulus Era Alliance, we also appreciate the regular âhauntingâ of Ironforge by our resident undead priest. As well as the mischievous rogues who like a good back stab.

I was hoping for some good news here. Specifically, bring paid transfers in Era back to the shop, and remove free transfers off of Grobb.
GM Rilithdar just told me i could transfer from Whitemane to Firemaw for free.
I think this is a good change for want to have xfers blocked off to a server for players who want it to be untainted and as fresh as possible like the Deviate Delight movement to keep naxx geared gold capped characters from coming and bringing the âmost fresh untaintedâ servers we have up to speed with the high pace, boosted, gdkp fest server Whitemane is.
For a nochanges game, so many changes we never ask for/donât want, and never anything we actually do.

Yes this was an unannounced, not requested change based on an error in understanding that all the realms were already linked, at least thatâs what the blue post above states. What we have been requesting is an end to the free transfers off of Grobb to stop the exploiting of Grobbulus by bots and gold farmers. We need paid transfers to Grobb to recruit people to our unique guild. Blizz is aware and we are watching and waiting.

Sure, but they already had it disabled for their âfresh realmâ movement. This change is impacting all other servers now â the ones with the Naxx geared toons already on it. Preventing people from Whitemane switching to Mankirk, or to Grobbulus, where we already have Naxx gear and are not trying to create a fresh movement.
All this does is harm communities, and prevent players from moving to realms that align with their goals.
On Grobbulus, weâre simply looking to have people allowed to migrate their existing characters to Grobbulus in order to join our guilds here, and offer an alternative from Whitemane for players.
We have players happily pay to transfer their toons from Whitemane & Mankirk to join a small community vibe on Grobbulus. We have players currently waiting for blizzard to re enable this service so they can come play with us on their existing level 60s.
Players assumed for a long while that the only option to play Era was on Whitemane and/or Mankirk. However weâve been growing on Grobbulus for over 3.5 years, and as more players found our message, theyâve switched their home to Grobbulus.
Preventing the paying consumer from paying for a service they gain value from is crazy â all in the name of protecting them from a money trap. If thatâs the case, make it a Free Character Move! Enable player movement and choice. Thereâs nothing to lose here, and by disabling this service, it actively harms small communities like Grobbulus Era.

Jarl is right, I have played with this group on Grobb and its a great experience. I left to go play with family on Whitemane and now that they have moved on from the game, I just want to go back to playing with my friends I met there. They do everything the cluster servers do, and honestly they do it better, its a great âold feelâ WoW community. Iâd be willing to bet if you opened up free transfers TO Grobb, a lot of people from the old âGrobb Mobâ would come back in time. How hard is this to make happen really? What has Blizz got to lose here?

I do agree if some of yourâ friends are trying to join you and arenât able to because of the transfers that are blocked. The only reason I wouldnât want people to be able to transfer there would be to wreck the economy or turn the server into a Whitemane style one where it was less of a tight knit community feel.

A few of us were in the process of bringing our toons over when I discovered the service had been shut off, so I posted here. Here is where we got a blue post explaining that they had decided to shut it off. To my knowledge this is the only place it has been acknowledged. The lua error is still there as well when you open the classic shop from Whitemane. From Grobb the shop is âworkingâ in that you can still free transfer from Grobb to WM - the only thing we have been asking to be shut off. Gold sellers use the free transfer service to gather resources on Grobb with bots and live farmers to sell on Whitemane and then in turn sell the gold. We have been trying to stop them using World PvP and reporting.
