I didn’t think of it at first, but when coming back to play Overwatch. I came across one of Sombra’s skins with a dragon theme. This came out last month before WoW’s next expansion previews. Quite the coincidence of the timing, but would they do something like this again hinting something from another game? Who knows…

That’s cause its the Year of the Dragon in the lunar calendar

A more apt comparison would be with Symmetra’s Deathwing/Dragon inspired form. Now that would look good.

Honestly if I could get a visage form that was like the Dragon Symmetra halloween skin I’d freaking go with it. That was my fav

Thats more like armor than actual body parts of a dragon. But I can see some motivation from it.

Shanghai Dragons skin commemorating their 2021 Overwatch League win. Nothing to do with WoW, just the coincidence you note.

Who knows, but the designs of her skin is close to the race features. If anything WoW art developers probably took it as influence. Nevertheless both games are under Blizzard so them collaborating thoughts wouldn’t be surprising.
