Yep, gonna have a lot of pride in that realm name.
2019-08-26T17:00:00Z, we will remove the limitation on only creating a total of three WoW Classic characters per WoW account. Thereafter, players will be able to create up to 10 characters per Classic realm, for a total of 50 characters across all Classic realms per WoW account.
Additionally, at 2019-08-26T17:00:00Z, we will open the following new realms in this region:
Name | Type | Timezone |
---|---|---|
Incendius | PvP | Eastern |
Bigglesworth | PvP | Pacific |
Old Blanchy | Normal | Pacific |
Westfall | Normal | Eastern |
At this time, all realms that have a Full or High population tag are expected to experience extended queues. We urge players on realms marked Full or High to plan to play on one of these new realms to avoid the longest queues, and to help spread the player population as evenly as possible and provide the best play experience for everyone.
Thank you!
Glad I got my name on multiple servers depending on how things go.
Pve is for fraidy catz lol
But what if our friends and guildmates have already created characters on that realm. They didn’t know it would become the overbloated realm at the time. It just happened. Are we still supposed to just go play alone on another realm because you have population problems?
I find this a little strange…“Any realm that is listed above Medium should expect queues at launch, with increasing severity from High to Full.”
If they knew that a MEDIUM realm would have queues, why didn’t they add more realms as soon as the original got to medium population, instead of waiting for realms to be at full population???
HIGHLY unlikely the majority of players are going to purchase a sub 2 weeks in advance JUST for a chance at getting a character name; only the hardcore (IE, people who regularly visit forums) will sub half a month before they can play.
A lot of people did. I resubbed as soon as they announced a firm release date. No good reason for it. I just did. For me personally, I don’t even notice 15 bucks a month, so I didn’t have to give it any consideration. I grabbed some names. It added to my fun these past couple of weeks.
If people are struggling with 7.50 lost in classic playtime (they can still play retail), then they need to rethink their finances.
Not a joke.
Even someone on federal minimum wage can afford WoW.
What’s funny is that people say they’re fine with the queues, but reality will hit you when you see Server XXXX over there with no wait and you want to play now…
but you can’t make everyone happy and people just want to get their post count up, so /shrug
This is why, in large part, I locked down my name on 3 different servers.
Gotta remain flexible and if those become full, or I’m just not happy with the peeps on those, I’ll look for a different server again.
Doesn’t that fault lie on the people who neglect to resub during the name reservation period though? Doesnt seem to me like Blizzard is doing as much wrong as people are leading on…
this theory is asinine
People still care about post counts? Not being funny, I figured that trend died years ago.
It also was during the same time as the beta, so it gave people a chance to play the beta and test things out.
This is a totally ridiculous situation with overcrowded servers…and in no way the communitie’s fault! We were told to sign up three names early on the servers given…very few. We did that, and now you expect us to keep moving around when they are all full or brimming? You, Blizzard, should have anticipated the popularity with all the chat over the last few years. Stop blaming us and open your large money pouch and do what you should have done in the first place…provide us with plenty of decently named realms, both PVE and PVP!!!
Awesome, I like to fill things… Horde Herod FTW!
Lol transfer your lvl 1 character? lol why? just reroll dude
Or for people who simply wish to level in peace. Don’t see how getting ganked by a character 20 levels higher than you for a hour is considered fun when all you want to do is turn in some quests and level.
I’ll be fine with the queues. While you guys are squirming in your chairs staring at the login screen, I’ll be eating dinner and hanging with the fam.
