Testing on target dummies with single button presses (no rotation), the proc we get from Art of War the Light Within is by far our strongest damaging spell.
Estimated numbers - (Item Level 272, PvE dummies)
Final Verdict: 15k
Crusader Strike:7k
Blade of Justice: 6k
Judgment: 7k
Light Within: 25k
Not accounting for procs, CDs or item sets, just hitting a dummy with the proc once.
Am i missing something here, I get the support class, but this whole time I thought Final Verdict has been hitting for 50k minimum.
The strongest ability is Hammer of light.
It’s 696.77% AP but it self buff with Judgement so it does 836,12 % AP.
Light Within proc is 664% AP.
You’re missing some context but it’s not really your fault because that context is not explicit.
In essence, that proc is a facsimile of Shadowland S3/S4 Retribution tier set which would use AoW procs to reset the CD of Wake instead of BoJ at a 50% chance.
The initial damage, when it was being developed, mirrored Wake exactly.
Now they couldn’t make it reset Wake because since SL, hero talents were introduced and they both use Wake as an activator.
Resetting it would have been busted, so they instead attached the damage part to the AoW proc.
The cone shape is also call back to Wake having the same cone hit box.
And then it hit much harder than wake (roughly double) because that was the concept behind the Apex talent.
You shouldn’t want to skip it and it should be “apex/peak”.
