I used the posts that you linked to prove your entire premise wrong. It’s okay to just admit you’re wrong and move on, but if you want to keep going with the toddler’esque fingers in the ears approach by all means.
I think it’s been long enough to open up all the mage tower skins. We are closing in on 2 entire expansions later, I doubt there are many try hard players left who want to yell “BUT MAH EXCLUSIVES!”.
I just find it unfair for players who changed mains or started playing after Legion, they miss out on some good transmog, and no doubt many players who have these skins will either be gone or just not using them anymore that many players will just never see any of the mogs.

Drives up engagement for part of the playerbase. But discourages others. For each upside there is a downside.

More up than down, but yeah. It can alienate people who don’t play a lot or are seasonal subscribers. I’m sure there’s a report somewhere on some executives desk that shows the benefits outweigh the risks, so we have to live with it.
Personally, i kinda like the collectible aspect of it, but at the same time there should be some equivalent. Like, when I play MTG I prefer to use all black border cards, even for reprint, but I also don’t get mad that there are reprints, you know? Like new rainbow of sparkle kitties would be fine, as long as the original was still recognizable as such.
I’m wondering when they’re gonna give Feral Druid a new cat skin. Because, you know. Its stupid being left out.
… what? I’m not mocking new players. I’m mocking the absurd and insulting argument that new players are so intellectually and emotionally immature that not being able to acquire a cosmetic appearance no longer available in-game is psychologically harmful.

No one is trashing new players for being new players, and the only people portraying new players negatively are those of you infantilizing them. I’m doing exactly the opposite.

It is what it is. Ask for new stuff or slightly modified stuff like felbear/t3 toy in revendreth

I’d really like to see original werebear. I just really have no desire for my druid to be all Demon-y.
I don’t think it’s 100% fair. I wish I had it, I really did.
However, there is absolutely no reason for Blizzard not designing new modes every single expansion. There has been SO MANY community-created mock ups on what Shadowlands 4-covenant shapeshifts could have been.
This is a big flaw in WoW. A lot of other MMO’s capitalize on cosmetics and options, so it baffles me how there is 1 Chicken + x1 Astral form ONLY! How there are only 5 bear forms and 5 cats, how there are only 4 Travel forms. It’s straight up stupid imho.
The lack of customization in WoW is probably one of the worst in the entire MMO genre. Sadge.

I don’t understand the obsession with the old legion challenge appearances. There were challenge appearances from xpacs before that, and I don’t see them brought up. Not to mention the transmogs coming with the permanent release of mage tower are pretty cool by themselves.
