New? Yes. Effort? Somehow, to a degree.
The problem with no additional classes for the Dracthyr becomes balance. The entire race will either be all over the place, or never seen, depending on how well balanced the SOLE class available to it is. As we know, Blizzard can’t even balance the existing classes. That there is but a SINGLE class available to Dracthyr, with only TWO specs, is honestly quite alarming.
As far as being allowed to pick between humanoid and draconic forms, I do supply player choice on this one. The Dracthyr form can ONLY transmog shoulders, tabards, and belts. That’s. It. That’s incredibly little and incredibly limiting. Its as if Blizzard took all the negative feedback about Worgen and Mechagnomes, and then doubled-down on it.
