Option to opt out of warbound drops

We all know they wouldn’t be. They want their own special loot drop system.

What they don’t realize is that this system gives them more of a chance to get a piece for their character, because the loot is guaranteed and just randomly picks one of only like 8ish pieces from the loot table.

Don’t get one right now? Vendor and get extra gold. And also a higher chance at getting something that will be usable by their character.

It’s more than what they’d get if it was the old system. And Blizz isn’t going to make a separate special system for the few who don’t want Warbound gear.

And he admits to the world that he can’t read. Incredible

I don’t particularly care what you want to or don’t want to see.
I’m just explaining to you what the alternative is and why it doesn’t matter if you can or cannot use the item you get.

Sonído, let’s dial back the personal attacks. We don’t want to behave like Gneusch after all. I think you and Sendryn can have a productive debate on the matter without dropping to that level. You both seem pretty articulate and plenty smart. So lets go from there and remember, we’re all humans behind the keyboard.

Your explanation is irrelevant. A very simple box to check in order to hide worthless items from popping up does not dampen the experience of anyone else who leaves it unchecked

You get the same pop up for a piece of adventurer gear off a world quest. It’s literally the “item that isn’t white vendor trash” system.

That’s a vendor. That’s what people have explained repeatedly. Take item you don’t want and get its value in gold.

I didn’t attack him. All I did was point out what happened. But I can play nice. I’m sorry

I’m 3 for 3 on dropping armour that none of my toons can use and I’d still much rather have guaranteed loot over a tiny chance to see any loot. It’s fine imo. :dracthyr_shrug:

You mean the world quests with rewards that are specifically tailored to your character and loot spec? It’s not the same. A better example would be running old raids with legacy loot enabled

Those do it too, yes. Literally happens for any loot drops that aren’t the qualities automatically sold by the Vendor Trash button.

Right, but there’s a very clear distinction here. I know what to expect with legacy loot rules. I used to know what to expect with personal loot rules. That’s all out the window with this warbound bs.

Again, I maintain that it works to the benefit of everyone if the pool is reduced to the classes on your account. You can say its a bad idea all you want but you and I both know that the % of people who would delete their account for overworld upgrades is 100x lower than the % of people like me who are minimalists.

No raid boss will directly drop non-warbound loot to your inventory. There is your expectation being set. If loot drops from a raid boss that is not legacy loot, then it is warbound.

We can wrap this up amicably here. Respectfully, idk wth you’re saying here.

So this system has it’s slimy fingers in raids too now? I could kill dimensius and it’ll potentially drop a glaive?

Yes, you can get bonus loot in raids.

If he has a glaive in his drop table, you could get a glaive as a warbound drop. Anything that is a warbound drop will be looted off the corpse. Anything that isn’t a bonus warbound piece will not be looted, it will be rolled off.

Yo, thank you so much for the heads up. 100% avoiding that content completely lmao.

We are adjourned

I’m not trolling though. I’m serious. It’s a stupid opinion.

Interesting that you besmirched people with ADHD earlier in the thread but you’re seemingly the one with issues.

Au contraire. I call it like I see it. If it’s dumb, I’m gonna say it’s dumb. More people should be like that.

You should stop doing mythic dungeons too then, warbound gear is possible from that as well.

In fact, might not be a bad idea to just uninstall.

Damn, you’re so edgy and cool. You said: “who cares about mutual exclusivity?” and just yapped. Bravo.

Whoaaaa watch out now. This guy thinks something is dumb and his is the word of God. He’s gonna SAY IT. I’m so scared.

The new world boss doesn’t drop a Warglaive. None of the world bosses drop a Warglaive. In fact, none of the World bosses drop ANY weapons.

I’m starting to think you just made this whole thing up just to drama farm fake points.

With the exception of World Bosses since 11.1…

Warbound Drops are Bonus Drops.

They are not replacing anything you would have gotten normally for your current character.

It’s free extra loot that you can just stash away to maybe use on an alt down the line sometime.

There’s no reason to have a toggle to turn this off, because it’s not negatively impacting your current character as it functions now.

(As for World Bosses – They went from having the usual ~15% chance at dropping something to having a 100% chance but it’s not guaranteed to be your armor type. I feel like that’s a reasonable tradeoff that makes the weekly world boss feel like less of a waste of time on average.)

Given they’ve gone on to be rude and confrontational to pretty much everyone they’ve responded to in this topic, you might be onto something there.
