Can we get this, please? For same cost, you can buy a rank 3 essence you have unlocked, OR a rank 1 essence you don’t. Ranks 2 and 3 would then also be purchasable for increased Echoes costs. I get that you want people to play different content to grind essences, but being forced to play what is now outdated content (Nazjatar and Mechagon) or content that is irrelevant to our preferred playstyle and goals (PvP to unlock an essence so you can do PvE content) is kind of ridiculous. I don’t actually care about the time investment, so much as I care about having to invest that time in aspects of the game that are otherwise unrewarding as a gate to playing the content I enjoy. Make it so it takes approximately the same amount of total time and effort, but through current 8.3 content instead of old stuff, while still having the option to do it the other way if you prefer.
IIRC, that will be an option. I could be wrong but the relevant blue post seemed to suggest it would be.

Rank 2? Once again kill King Mechagon for the plans and craft it

Not all of them. SOME are easy to get, other ones are not.

It’s just that I’d rather earn my Lucid Dreams and Conflict and Strife while doing assaults and Visions, rather than having to “waste” time PvP’ing or grinding exp on a Nazjatar bodyguard that no longer benefits me in any way besides getting the essence. You’re giving me manapearls as quest rewards? Well, isn’t that quaint. So very 2019 of you.

Rank 2 you just spend more time in BGs not a big deal
Turn on warmode, loot some drop chests and do assaults when they show up
Get 500 conquest points, loot chest next week
Rank 2: I guess if you’re that inexperienced in arenas you probably couldn’t do it, still isn’t a big problem like you claim

I already said it’s not the difficulty I object to. It’s not HARD to get the essences. I just don’t see why I should have to grind old content from the last patch or PvP to be able to do the current raid tier above Normal, or high Mythic +. Let me grind current content. Some of the essences can only be unlocked by raiding Ashzara’s Palace. Do people even still do that? You could move those essences into Ny’alotha for all I care. That would actually make them HARDER to get in terms of gameplay, but at least I wouldn’t have to run old raid tiers with worthless gear to get them.

I was literally in uldum just now and a group of horde was steamrolling alliance players left and right
Eventually I joined in the counter attack to stop them so no I don’t think that’s believable
If essences were given like doing a world quest they’ll never complain
Next they’ll want mythic gear given in world quests
