Is there a way to turn the visual animation off on the screen? It’s in a really bad placement and it’s kind of an eyesore.

This should be somewhere under your Interface settings, maybe in the Combat tab? The option is “Spell Alert Opacity” and it’s a slider. Slide it to 0 and you shouldn’t see it anymore.

Yup, and I’d suggest making a weak aura and placing it in a better spot so you can see the proc. Provided you haven’t already

I don’t have a Weak aura for it but the proc on my keybinds does just as well

You are absolutely right about the annoyance of the opportunity proc notifier. It’s the exact reason I too turn down spell alert. It’s place like almost right in the center.
I use TellMeWhen for things like that and tracking SnD/BF.
