I have a problem with the quest Operation: Stir the Cauldron. A lot of mobs appear there and they kill the helicopter very quickly

I too am experiencing the same issue. The attackers are WAY too strong.

Yeah it is essentially impossible. And it’s not the only one, I think maybe because of a combination of level squish and level scaling the mobs during vehicle and turret sections are just way over tuned because in the goblin starting zone, fighting the giant shark in a machine, it’s near impossible also. Everywhere in the game exists these turret sections and they consistently are way too hard. Stir the cauldron is the only one I have seen so far that is hands down impossible. This is not able to be beaten at the current state unless you’re lucky. So my advice is to either keep trying and maybe get lucky or move on to another zone until blizzard rememb- I mean fixes their game.

Can confirm that this was a bug due to level scaling. However, after buying several stamina enchantments + scroll of stam I can finally say I’ve completed it!!

Ongoing issue. I opened a ticket, was told to check Wowhead/IcyVeins. Escalated it, was told to submit a bug report here. So, I’m just adding to the pile.

I’ll attempt to boost my stamina as suggested but as a clothie, I’m not expecting much success. Please, Blizz. I need my Loremaster…

Timewalking doesn’t affect the damage. Still impossible for my clothie.

I was able to complete this today at level 20 by spamming attacks to kill the mobs asap, but failed the first time and was down to 26% vehicle HP the second. Does need to be tuned.

bumping because this still seems to be bugged, and I cant finish up this areas quests for Loremaster because of it.

Still impossible. 20-lvl Hunter can’t do it.

I’m experiencing this as well. Tried 4 times, there’s no way to kill the guards fast enough, two or three hits destroy the aircraft.

Also unable to complete this quest, and can’t try on a lvl 70+ character due to Lunk’s quests needing certain mobs to be weakened, not killed

Quest is STILL unbeatable on a level 30 hunter.

Edit: What’s frustrating about this is that it would actually prevent players from getting the “Loremaster” achievement.

Same issue here. Taking my time playing through ALL the content as I level up throughout different versions of Chromie Time. I have opened up tickets and the replies I have gotten from Blizzard support say to keep trying because some players have reported success after multiple attempts, surviving with low health. I’ve done it around 20 or so times with my lower level paladin and don’t even get close to surviving. During their replies they say to submit a bug report because it goes straight to the team to start fixing it immediately. Sounds great! However…given that this thread is almost a year old without a fix being implemented yet doesn’t give me much hope.

It does go directly to the team, but the team can’t fix what they don’t have time to fix. And the team, AFAICT, is barely big enough to release new content (and fix all its bugs), let alone reaching deep into a big bag of bug reports and fixing something that very few players are currently engaged with.

There are outstanding bugs more than a decade old.

They fix stuff when they fix stuff.

Edit: I found a work around to fix this issue. Invite a max level character into your group. Have them stand at the entrance where the enemies spawn. When your plane gets into position have your max level person start killing them off like crazy as you blast them. It is fast, efficient, and works! Hope this helps others who have been stuck here.
